Dr very nice and sweet but asks leading questions when given a sample of the brand name and a generic prescription for migraines, she asks if the brand name works? I said "yes it does" so she only documents that in the progress note and nothing about the generic that she already gave me 36 pills for prior, so THAT is why the nurse tech assumed correctly that when I called for my migraine medication refilled, she initiated a request for the brand name medication I had only 2 sample pills of prior. This then began a long insurance process unbeknownst to both myself and the Dr, however, when I asked to cancel the prior auth for the brand name and just refill my generic migraine meds, he continues to say he will "put a request in and ask the doctor for a recommendation". I explained that's what I had been advocating for & that it's been 3 weeks of back and forth phone calls while I'm working with these debilitating migraines. The office manager states that he "doesn't know what I want" and he will be discharging me with a 30-day prescription for the generic migraine meds I INITIALLY ASKED HIM FOR at the beginning of this 20-min conversation. Will try to push the prescription name brands of medications just to receive a kickback even at the expense of the patient. Shameful. I profusely THANKED him for doing the wow-so-difficult service of sending my prescription migraine medication so I can stop this pounding in my head and not have to jump through hoops because his nurse tech "didn't know" better. The patient is suffering and their lack of care and regard to save face and ego is shameful.

I went to see Dr.Kent for my back pain and she did adjustments and after 4 visits and doing recommended exercises at home I can feel a big different now. After explaining to her my symptoms and shows her my MRI of my back then she referred me to a neurologist. I asked her if she can helped me refer to the right neurologist because I have been calling around searching for neurologist for my back pain and they keep saying that I'm calling the wrong neurologist. I'm very glad that Dr.Kent got me in with the right neurologist and he was able to see me in 4 weeks normally it takes longer than that. I would recommend Dr. Kent. I would like to share a concern regarding the prescription authorization process at the Oviedo…read moreoffice. I submitted a prescription request on July 15. Although my physician approved it, the insurance authorization paperwork has still not been completed as of July 21. During several phone calls over the past week, I was repeatedly told that the technician responsible for insurance authorizations has been busy seeing patients and will complete the paperwork when they have time. I understand that healthcare offices are busy, and I appreciate the staff's efforts. However, relying on spare moments between patient appointments to process insurance authorizations does not seem to be a sustainable system. It has delayed my medication for nearly a week beyond my physician's approval, causing me to miss the scheduled start of my treatment. Fortunately, my medication is not life-threatening, but many patients depend on timely access to their prescriptions. I hope you will review the workflow at the Oviedo office and consider allocating dedicated time or additional staffing for insurance authorizations so that patients can receive the medications their physicians have already prescribed without unnecessary delays.
