Gone into this pawn shop a few times. Not sure why I keep going back. The prices are way to high. The customer service is extremely terrible. Went into the shop the other day and all we got from a employee was attitude and he seemed to be talking down to us the whole time like we were stupid. Don't like this place. Waiting in line to get rid of an Xbox because GameStop always try to lowball you. Well, we were next in line and they took a guy before us claiming he was there first. Nope not at all. He was standing behind me when the guy at the counter told him that he could put his gun behind the counter. Afterwards, he started looking around and then waited near the counter. piss poor store & management !! all four of the workers were wearing no masks and two came from the back room smelling like weed. The owner replied to this comment saying I made a false statement, when in fact I am not. The smell was very clearly from one the employees behind the counters, who was not wearing a mask, and could be smelt by not only I; but my parents as well, good to know you carry licenses, next time I will report to the police to prevent any incidents from a drugged out employee. I would highly advise that people DON'T do business here. These people seem like they are nothing but scam artists. I recently did what I thought was "pawning" my firearm it turns out that I had to transfer it to them but to get your firearm back you would supposedly need to pay it the same as you would any item that you pawned to get the firearm back... But the problem with this is they will exploit certain customers if your application comes back as "UNDETERMINED" and will KEEP your firearm. This seems like a scam because there are no laws that prohibit them from delivering your firearm yet and still they won't. Also, I was asked by staff about the possibility of me having a criminal record and OR missing child support payments the reason I was deemed UNDETERMINED, which I found to be VERY offensive. On the background check application you can be deemed UNDETERMINED and not have 1 single parking ticket on your record, so if DOJ deems the application Undetermined it doesn't mean much. Besides they did purchase my legal firearm and they didn't have any questions then so WHY QUESTION ME NOW WHEN I PAY TO GET IT BACK??? I will be seeking legal consultation. PLEASE DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!! Possible RACIST. read more

I decided to upgrade my husband's wedding ring for his birthday and Juan truly went over and beyond to help me pick out the perfect ring for my husband. The employees will tell you false information. They also don't wear masks here not following state law. Either ignorant or willfully lying. There's a sign on their door telling customers to wear masks, yet none of the employees are wearing masks. It's August and in June the governor announced masks are mandatory statewide. I asked Randy who I was working with "are masks required here?" And he said "Not required in our county." He's quoting policy that was back in March or April. I like many others are tired of low employment, gyms and many other things being closed. The entire state of California is under law to wear a mask for others safety. This store doesn't care about that. They should be more professional in a shop open to the public. read more

I have been to a few pawn shops in my time and none compare to this one. Most pawn shops give out the run down look and you feel like you are walking in ready to do a drug deal. BUT not here as soon as you walk in you always get greeted by at least one employee. The last couple times I've had the pleasure of working with a young man Oscar. And of course the first time he didn't know who I was but after my second visit he greets me by name which makes me feel even more welcome. Myself being in the customer service industry I feel that Oscar exceeds in all aspects of customer service and is a great asset to this pawn shop. I strongly recommend him. Well, how do I start this?? We have been going to Central Mega Pawn for years now and we have had really Blessed experiences with every purchase and pawn. However on this day, my Wife and I saved enough money to pull our TV out of pawn and we're very happy. We rented a U-haul and asked our son to help with this move as the Tv is large and curved. We payed and everything seemed well, the tv a little dusty as it was there for three years but we never had a bad experience so we trusted that the Tv was just the way we left it. When we got home after carefully setting it up to our surprise and disappointment, the led screen was cracked. My Wife was so upset and new it was going to be a battle to get reimbursed for this loss. Again to our surprise, we called and was told immediately to bring the Tv back. Without hesitation Zac helped me carry it back in and the Manager came over and we were apologized to and then we were made whole again. My Wife was very please as sometimes it is hard to please her when she has been wronged. The overall encounter was professional and I am going to keep coming back as I totally trust Central Mega Pawn and the people who work there. I've been coming to this pawn shop to get loans and to purchase items from them. I've been here hundreds of times over the years and I have no complaints BUT this is the second time I drive form Los Angeles to pick something I already paid for and called before purchasing to verify they still have it just so when I arrive they tell me it's not available no more and they use the same excuse "it's and item that's been on our website" yesterday the employee Tom or Thomas verified with his manage and the manager said it was still available today 03/30/2021 he said he wasn't sure and still acts rude and tries to make it seem like it's the costumers fault.
