This has been the most disappointing educational experience we have had. In my opinion, the current principal, John Bate, does not consistently make decisions that place students' best interests, safety, and educational needs first. There appears to be a lack of organization, inconsistent communication with parents regarding student concerns, and a pattern of decisions that many families have found frustrating. There have also been ongoing concerns from parents regarding school climate, fairness in decision-making, and whether all students are being supported equally. Several teachers and families have chosen to leave, which has raised additional concerns about stability and retention. Academically, I have concerns regarding the quality and rigor of some assignments. There were times materials appeared to come directly from Teachers Pay Teachers resources, and some assignments seemed below expected grade level standards. Parents should carefully review instructional materials and ask questions regarding curriculum alignment and academic expectations. I also encourage prospective families to ask questions about teacher certification status, staffing plans, student support systems, communication procedures, and administrative oversight. Many families remain because the school offers activities and athletic opportunities that are difficult to find elsewhere, which creates a challenging decision for parents. I do want to acknowledge that Dr. Roan appears committed to improving the school and creating positive change. However, in my opinion, meaningful improvement will require stronger leadership, greater accountability, improved communication, and a clearer focus on student outcomes. I strongly encourage prospective parents to speak directly with current families before enrolling. What appears positive from the outside may not fully reflect the day-to-day experience. read more

I go here and it is the best school I have ever been to. The principals are very nice and the administrators are very welcoming and the teachers are some of the best teachers I have ever had. read more

I attended this school for grades 8-12. This place is full or teachers that will care for your student as an individual. A Christian education is worth the investment. The classes are small and challenging. Everyone knows everyone. Leadership is encouraged but not forced. This school helped me grow into who I am today as a Christ follower. read more

I want to be entirely honest when I write this post and being that I attended this school from grades 4-12, I feel I am able to offer a great deal of insight into how this school functions. While there are some positives to the institution, such as small class sizes and challenging curriculum/coursework, it does not take away from the more serious matters that occur here. I would like to start by saying there is no bullying policy here. I was incessantly bullied here for many years during classes, while teachers were present, and only once did an authoritative figure do something about it, and that only happened when I approached the authoritative figure FIRST. I went through a great deal of psychological pain and shame inflicted by teachers and students at this school, and I was never once referred to a counselor nor were my parents notified despite that I had reported my struggles many times to staff figures. The special education program here is essentially non-existent as well as sex education. They replace sex education with "purity" classes that last 2 weeks. If you are a woman, they shame the clothing you wear, promote ideals of rape culture, tell you to submission to men is necessary and expected, and criticize how you hug your male friends. The only students prioritized here are athletes and students with a great deal of annual income. Teachers bring up political issues in class with the intention of only teaching the students to accept "right wing" policies and reject any other viewpoints that might differ from those policies. In fact, there is a required course offered senior year that ONLY discusses those matters. There is no learning that happens there. Only brainwashing. In addition to this, my spiritual journey suffers greatly from this school. I was shamed here for being a woman, for "distracting males" with my uniform that was just like everybody else's (despite the fact that I was merely curvier than my female counterparts), for being told I had a "heart problem" whenever I questioned authority figures, for having severe depression, for having an older sibling who was gay, for being called weak in athletics when I had asthma, for being called a sinner because I listened to some "secular music", among many other things I don't care to mention or am too scarred from to mention. To this day I resent Christianity very much for what I experienced here. There is no spiritual growth here (especially if you aren't popular). Luckily, when I attended college, I was able to get a picture of what the Bible and Christianity really look like. So I really hope because of this I can mend my Christian faith someday, but to be honest I'm not sure I will be able to after what I dealt with here. We are a private Christian Pre-K3 through 12th grade school certified by ACSI. We believe in Kingdom education and Teaching Truth That Transforms. Additionally, we are a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Our Athletics and Fine Arts have won multiple awards and competitions. We offer STEM on all levels: elementary, middle school, and high school. Our middle school and high school are members of the Texas Technology Student Association (TSA).

History

Established in 1987.

In 1987, a group of families from different churches and backgrounds came together to form Central Texas Christian School (CTCS). In 1997 CTCS acquired acreage on West FM 93 between Belton and Temple through the vision of a generous local family who desired to have a Christian School built on the property. In 2004 CTCS moved into its newly built facilities. Currently, CTCS owns 54 acres at its current location with plans to expand to accommodate future growth. CTCS was accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). CTCS also joined the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Our students have the opportunity to participate throughout the year in athletic, academic, speech and fine arts competitions through TAPPS. CTCS is the only interdenominational, Pre-School - 12th grade school serving Bell County. CTCS has a solid foundation to grow future leaders.

Goooo Wildcats! Temple High School is the alma mater of…read more"Mean" Joe Green! This central Texas high school is probably the biggest in Temple. They've got a bunch of sports teams, and do well for the local community. The pool is available to the public during the summer, when the student swimmers aren't using it. They have a schedule posted up out front of the pool. The pool isn't exactly luxury. It's for lane swimmers only, and is one of the old style pools with lots of chlorine. The locker rooms are about average for a high school. Everything not bolted down or locked up will disappear. During the summer, there's plenty of parking since the only cars there are summer school students. I never attended school here, but I am a supporter!

I had heard nothing but good things about Cadence, so naturally I had my son in the waiting list…read moreand was praying to get a spot. My child was in another daycare all his life up to a couple weeks ago. We ran into some issues (there were issues before, but they had escalated due to lack of enough supervision) and I kept calling to check on the status on the waiting list. Thank the good Lord that we were able to start taking our son here. I love the photos I get throughout the day assuring me he is cared for well. He is still adjusting as he is crying during drop off AND pick up :). But once you enter the place you can see that it is clean and inviting. Ms. Jenna and the director Ms. Andrea have been phenomenal with answering questions and they are both just so sweet. You can tell they love what they do (the day of the tour they both were decked out for St. Patty's lol) The facility itself is very roomy with big classrooms. I like also the little porch area they have for the kids to still be able to play outside or get fresh air even if it were to rain a bit or be too hot to go all the way out without the cover of a roof. It's a gated porch and each classroom has their own so the kids are secured. My son is learning many things here already and I can't wait until he starts being able to vocalize more his new knowledge.

I want to be entirely honest when I write this post and being that I attended this school from grades 5-12, I feel I am able to offer a great deal of insight into how this school functions. While there are some downsides such as size and semi-limited class choice, they don't detract from the positive upsides of attending this school. I would like to start by saying there is a bullying policy here, as stated on pages 7-9 of the student handbook. I had not personally seen any actual bullying in my years at the school. I never experienced or saw someone else experience bullying in my days there. The special education program here is essentially non-existent because those with mental disabilities are allowed to participate in normal class with everyone else. Sex education is generally left to the parents, with the exception of "purity class" (which takes place during Winterm, which is a unique program that gives students an opportunity to learn real-world skills). In this class, students are taught how to act in a relationship in a Christlike way. If you are a woman, they restrict the clothing you are allowed to wear because that is what God asks for in Scripture (1 Tim. 2:9-10). In general, rape is, you know, considered wrong and not tolerated here. All students are welcome and loved by the students and faculty. Teachers bring up political issues in class with the intention of only instilling Christian values, without regard for right or left wing practice (although the right tends to be more Christian). Teachers often present counter-arguments to the Christian argument to not only present both sides, but to also strengthen the argumentative abilities of students. In fact, there is no course that only "brainwashes" students. Only learning. In addition to this, my spiritual journey benefited greatly from this school. I was never shamed, nor was anyone I knew. I was not told off for questioning authority, in fact some reform was brought about by the questioning of authority. In fact, I think my heart has been pointed towards Christ by talking about things such as the proper way to talk to those who reject Christ. I think that since I can take the least bit of criticism, I haven't developed an unhealthy hate for (and in fact fallen in love with) this school. To this day, I remain firm in my faith because of CTCS. There is a TREMENDOUS amount of spiritual growth here (no matter who you are). Luckily, when I attended college, I was able to get a picture of what the secular world is really like, and because of the school and its faculty, I have been steadfast in my relationship with the Lord. So I really am glad that I entered CTCS with no real relationship with God, and left with one infinitely stronger. Here's to merely hoping for the best. read more

Amazing pre-school program and school. We absolutely love CTCS, the staff, and the teachers. They go above and beyond for their kiddos. Our kiddos look forward to school everyday and have learned so much. Amazing curriculum too! read more
