I don't speak French but was received with a friendly welcome, and was able to follow along thanks to the instructor's demoes throughout class. The sequence he put together (Bernard) was thoughtful and approachable by students of all levels. The studio itself is bright and open, and facilitates a good feeling of community. The citrus water is a great touch. I'd practice here regularly if I lived here and hope to go back during this trip.

Tout d'abord, il était très difficile de comprendre les instructions de l'instructrice, ce qui a rendu le suivi du cours compliqué, surtout en tant que nouvelle participante. Malheureusement, aucune indication n'a été donnée quant au matériel nécessaire. Lorsque j'ai réalisé en plein cours qu'il me manquait de l'équipement, la porte de la salle était verrouillée, me laissant sans solution. Le cours a donné l'impression que l'instructrice voulait surtout démontrer ses compétences avancées plutôt que d'offrir une séance équilibrée de Power Yoga. La dernière demi-heure a été consacrée à des postures très complexes, sans offrir d'alternatives adaptées aux participants qui ne pouvaient pas les exécuter. Résultat : plusieurs d'entre nous avons simplement regardé au lieu de pouvoir réellement participer. De plus, il y avait peu d'attention portée aux postures de base, pourtant essentielles dans les cours de Power Yoga auxquels j'ai l'habitude d'assister. Bien que j'aie apprécié l'accueil chaleureux du personnel à la réception, l'expérience globale ne valait pas, selon moi, le coût du cours, surtout en comparaison avec ceux que je fréquente à Toronto. J'espère que le studio prendra en considération l'importance de fournir des instructions plus claires et une approche plus inclusive à l'avenir.

For a newcomer to yoga, I have nothing but good things to say about Prana. There is a wide variety…read moreof classes for all skill levels, and the instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable. The staff obviously takes a ton of pride in their business, and the place is unfailingly professional, efficient and clean, without being slick or corporate. Whether you're at the Pyramid in Sainte-Foy or at the smaller studio on rue Saint-Jean, there's a really good vibe about the place. One small drawback: if you're driving, the Sainte-Foy location is a bit of a cluster. It's in the middle of a web of confusing roads, and parking can be distant and hard to find if you're there during dinner hours. There are also certain spots (unmarked as such) which the Pyramid's grocery store has commandeered, and if they feel like it, they'll chase you out of those spaces. Basically: allow yourself plenty of time to get there. But that doesn't really take away from the great experience I've had at Prana. Absolutely check it out, and if you're new, don't feel intimidated...you'll quickly pick up the rhythm of how things run there.

However I showed up today for the noon hot slow flow class and the studio was locked. No one showed up. I was so disappointed. I wish there was an English translation for your site, or if this branch isn't operational I wish you'd update your website. It even says it's next to a hair salon with a purple door, operating under a specific schedule from September 17-30. Please update your website!
