The low arched ceiling made of stonework set the mood of where we are. We ordered a pitcher of apple cider. It came in a clay pitcher with clay goblets. I ordered a salad as an appetizer. Which was quite large. We all ordered galettes as main plates. Galette is crêpe made from sarrasin. They come stuffed with different options. I chose one stuffed with ratatouille and chicken. My friends ordered them with typical Auvergne stuffing, potatoes, cheese, ham, mushrooms. The plates seemed quite simple with no sides. Service was quick and friendly. The food was served quickly and hot. I recommend it for the building and the service. The food was fine.

This is fossil age. One of the amazing old buildings and restaurants of Clermont. I had asked what was the specialty and they pointed to something among what seemed like a hundred different choices of crepes. The one I had was creamy- a liscious with potato, ham, mushroom and loaded with cheese. I can't quite remember the name but it was one of the Auvergnat specials. It's a belly buster of a meal come prepared to eat a lot. With dinner we ordered cider. It comes served in a ceramic jug and you drink it from what appears to look like small soup bowls. It's odd but was great. Service and experience was awesome. Highly recommended. One of the funnier things is the building is so old and dense stone that your mobile cell signal cuts out to a grinding halt (no signal) in the restaurant. Kind of nice as we are always on those damm devices enough during the day! Great restaurant and one I'd highly recommend in Clermont to try.
