The largest shopping center in L'Aquila, shortly after the Earthquake it was the only covered place…read morepeople could go. There is a wide selection of local (Manzi, Genitti eyewear, Del Vecchio clothing and international chains (including Desigual, Yamamay, Geox and others). The megastores are Le Clerc hypermarket, Mediaworld, H&M, and a Declathon sporting goods store.
The pizza by the slice place it not bad and the bigger bar does have Illy coffee and polite and professional staff. The bathrooms are passable for Italy, but well below North American standard. The Le Clerc always seems to have too few checkout lanes open. Almost everything you need can be found and there is plenty of parking but the rest is nothing special.
