The walls where the murals were painted are the residential walls of apartment projects. All murals are maintained in excellent conditions, also the fact this museum is located in San Miguel, a neighborhood that is not a "turtists"center is even more interesting to visit. You will be amazed by the power these walls make you feel. When you are in front of them seeing them with your own eyes you understand how important is to promote art in low income neighborhoods, this museum is a jewel hidden in SanMiguel and I strongly recommend you as a tourist and locals to visit them and appreciate this hard work. I am so happy I made this review and listed in Yelp "Museo A Cielo Abierto". Give the empty walls to artists and communities so they express dreams, their POV. Art makes neighborhoods beautiful, helps local economy. Better hrs to go and visit Morning, afternoons. Avoid going at night. In total 4 metro stations pass through different parts of the park, metros: Baquedano, Parque Bustamante, Santa Isabel, and Irarrazabal. If you walk through the entire park you will start you walk in the Providencia area and end in Nunoa. There are fun little attractions throughout the entire park. Cafe Literario is located at the beginning of the park, there is also a skate park, public exercise equipment, and play area for children. There are also periodic fairs on the weekends as well. One of the things I love about walking through the park is the older arquitectura of all the houses and buildings, as well as all the small local shops you can explore. As the park is further from the city center it's much quieter and relaxing.

Cine Arte El Biógrafo is a charming three-decade old movie theater located in the hear of the…read moreBellas Artes barrio, Lastarria. Lastarria is known for its boho-chic "hipster" vibes and it is the perfect setting for this independent theater who show the best selection of indie and european films in the city. The ambiance is fun and 'funky' with plush chairs adding to the enjoyment of these international films. The only downside is that films tend to have a long shelf life -- you can come back from a month-long holiday and they will still be showing the same flick as when you left. Tip: Ojo, if you are one who likes to munch on something while at the movies, El Biógrafo doesn't offer much in the snack department so, I didn't say anything...but you might want to bring a candy bar in your handbag ;)
