This place was a bit old school as mentioned by others since it was built in the 1950s, but the decor and architecture gives it a nostalgic, classic feel with a bit of charm. Looking through the guest book it was really cool to see past celebrities that had stayed here. I had to laugh when I saw Van Damme posing in the hotel lobby. They really did a wonderful job catering to us since we had a huge group and were probably paying a pretty penny, but I can give a few highlights that stood out: - Outdoor heated pool is incredible with a fairy-tale backdrop. It's basically an overflowing pool on an outdoor deck near a bar with the island of ischia and some of naples in the distance. I'll post a picture but it's really beautful. - Service is outstanding. If you have issues with anything in your room or need advice on local spots, ask the front desk. They're very friendly and accommodating. - Each room has a fairly large balcony and apparently some even have a jacuzzi out there, though I wasn't lucky enough to get one. Still, it's nice to crack open a bottle of wine and relax as you take in the view. - The restaurant is also top notch and you really can't go wrong with most items on the menu. While pasta is a no-brainer, I also thought the a few of the fish dishes were really good. As long as you're okay with a hotel that has a bit of a retro feel you'll love it here. Highly recommended. Most people, myself included, would not think to go to Ischia, especially if you haven't been to Rome, Florence, Venice, etc. But I must say this is a beautiful place and it's worth staying at the Regina Isabella.

Ours featured a kitchenette and sea views. There is a small pool for cooling off. The hosts have a host bar in the lounge that allows you to grab what you want, note it, and pay when you leave. Finding it was difficult due to a GPS that wanted to take us up steps in the wrong direction. I highly recommend using Google on your phone over any GPS. The hosts were also willing to drive us down to Sorrento and pick us up at a requested time; however, we opted for the bus that picks people up every half hour from up the road. I am looking forward to staying here again in the future. It was truly a lovely place.

Our previous hotel in Naples, as well as the one we stayed at in Sorrento, didn't have much floor space and we barely had space to open both our suitcases. We had to put at least one on the ground and step over it every time. So I really appreciated that I could walk around normally with both suitcases open. Hotel was clean overall, and location was nice. It was by the water so had a nice view. And there were a bunch of taxis parked next to it so when we had to take an early morning taxi to the airport, it arrived within a minute or so of the hotel "calling for a taxi" (which actually meant someone leaned out the door and waved one of them down). I'd stay here again.

Basic continental breakfast offerings at 20€ / person and 6€ cappuccino when the coffee shop right around the corner was much better and something like 7€ for 2 coffees AND pastries The temp in the rom only had a 4 degree range and it unfortunately was not the range we were seeking so could not get comfortable. And for a 4 star hotel. We would have expected to be able to adjust our own temperature The bathrooms were super cramped when there were both toilet and bidet. The door would not open all the way as it bumped against the toilet and we had to sandwich ourselves in between both to brush our teeth - with the added joy of the backs of our legs constantly bumping against either or both. Zero counter space. Nowhere to place towels for fear of it falling into either commode But given the location and the quiet room, we still have to rank this as A-OK

Less than ten minutes walk to the National Museum which has the finest artefacts from both Pompeii and Herculaneum. If you want an all you can eat buffet-style breakfast then go B&B. Their Pizzas and other meals such as the steak are nice, and there are plenty of other places to eat nearby too. Given the room prices, the views, the rooftop bar/cafe I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Naples. Not suitable though if you are self-driving as there isn't anywhere to park your hire car. However, a word of advice. Having driven in Italy I will never do it again as they are completely mad!

My only regret is that we were not able to experience the spa or the breakfast but that was our own fault for not getting up earlier but the bed was just too comfortable and it had been an extremely exhausting day of traveling the two days prior. During our time in Naples, we had the opportunity to stay at Romeo Hotel. They were undergoing some…read morerenovations, so the swimming pool was closed. However, we were given complimentary access to the spa for two hours, for which we made an advanced reservation. Upon entering the spa, we were greeted and given a quick tour of the facilities. They had various water baths maintained at different temperatures, sauna and steam rooms, and a Turkish bath--we tried it all. They also had a relaxation lounge with complimentary water and tea. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view of the water. We were very impressed with how clean the room was. On the occasion of our anniversary, the hotel also provided complimentary champagne. Everything about the room was perfect. We highly appreciated that the hotel staff went the extra mile to make us feel special. We also really liked the location of this hotel as it was close to all the happening areas. The next day, we had a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. They had a wide range of food options with a buffet service coupled with à la carte breakfast dishes. They offered different types of cheese, breads, and more. I got the avocado toast, and my husband got an omelette. The food was delicious and fresh, and we also tried a couple of Italian snacks, which were delightful. All in all, we had a great time.
