Nuggett property management is for the landlords benefit, never the renters! If you want to be treated fairly as a renter, choose someone else. We rented from them for 4 1/2 years, 2 different properties: * they do not fix things in a timely manner, I had to call repeatedly and had to wait months before they would ever send someone to fix anything. I waited 2 months for my dishwasher to be fixed, one of the rentals was in HOA and upon arrival we had a broken window (not caused by us) and even when the window in my children's bedroom cracked all the way down, they still would not fix it. They informed us they would when we moved in, we were there for 15 months and they never fixed the broken window. They never walked through either of the 2 properties when we moved in or out, then they charged us through the roof for cleaning of the first one when we left it sparkling clean! ($800 for cleaning when we had cleaned that house top to bottom; scrubbing down walls ceiling to floor, even behind the fridge and water heaters) Then the 2nd property they evicted us from: not for being behind on rent, not for doing anything to cause damage to the house, property or neighbors...they simply decided to change our rental agreements payment schedule and gave us FIVE days to come up with the full months rent, 20 days before it was due! They took us to court and they didn't care that we had rented from them for 4 and a half years, always making our payments on time, not falling behind once! We had worked the land and cared for the property lovingly. The 2nd property had damage to it, but was our only available option at the time, so we moved in with our family and 2 very well behaved cats. When they evicted us after we loved, cared for and paid our rent always on time, they decided to charge us almost $3,000.°° for "damages" we DID NOT CAUSE! They claimed my 2 little cats dug through the laundry room door and wall, it was ripped up pretty badly from big dogs when we moved in...I even asked Nuggett about it! They claimed my 2 well behaved cats caused carpet damage throughout the entire house (anybody who owns cats knows they pee on something like your favorite chair when they have their issues) They also claimed we had damaged doors they had to replace, and walls that mysteriously got holes in them when we moved out! The 2and address we lived at was: 36577 Sallee Road in Dorena,OR. And I am willing to bet they didn't replace/repair ANY of the damages that they charged us for when we moved out...they had someone already moved in within two weeks time! And I had to clean both rentals thoroughly upon moving in, they had not even bothered to have them clean upon move in.. Now we are in a battle with them to remove the fake charges from our credit report! We are trying to buy a home and need our credit record clear, and guess who won't clear our name even after we paid all the fake fees they charged us for. I have NEVER had a landlord treat us this way and it is sickening! If you are a landlord looking to rent out your place and take advantage of renters and create false charges and fees for them and very easy evictions, then this is the place for you! If you are a tenant and don't want to get fucked up the ass...maybe don't rent from them, they are dishonest and they do not care in the slightest if you are good people who pay your monthly rent on time and don't cause any problems with neighbors! They will ruin your credit record with false claims and then not remove them...EPIC FAIL! read more

As far as a property management company, Century 21 Nugget Realty is horrible! Katherine has no business working there. The owner of the property obviously comes last in her opinion. She does not communicate, follows through with repairs, and doesn't tell the truth. read more

i have bought all my oregon properties through nugget, they also handle my property management & do a great job.

instead of just saying "this company is horrible" I think I should list the reasons why. I'm a disabled single father of 2 disabled 8 yr twin boys, when i first moved into my apartment in crestview terrace in cottage grove, I was first told i had to sign all the papers on the 6th before i could see the place so i did, then we went right to the place to look at it, it was disgusting and kathren at the time did a walk through listing everything that was going to be fixed and replaced then gave me a copy of it when i picked up the keys on the 12th. when i walked into my place on the 12th, (keep in mind already payed the rent and deposit) nothing was done, and kathren came up with tons of excuses and told me it would be ready on the 16th for sure. So 6 days and nothing done, from the 12th to the 16th i would come by to check progress and clean while 1 guy, just one was painting the walls. he didn't wash the walls just painted over several years of cigarette nicotine and gunk, it was even dripping down the walls, which i took pictures of him painting over, the overhead of the stove took me 3 hrs alone to clean. I was trying to be very understanding, and even wanted to help any way I could, while this guy did his work, there was supposed to be two but Kathrens son had better things to do. and Mike was at home chilling out from what he told the painter over the phone which i heard...lol so i come with my u haul full of stuff on the 16th, and when i walked in the guy was still painting!!! i call kathren and she gave off a fake upset, so i moved in cuz i had no place to go, and the carpets where not even cleaned yet. So im now in the place, it reeks of smoke and crap, so i spend 30 hrs cleaning everything. 2 weeks later at 5pm, no call nothing the carpet guys are there to clean my carpets. i told them to come back in morning and i moved everything off carpets, they just wanted to clean around furniture. it took a month for them to put blinds in the place causing my sons to get heat rashes because the sheets i had didn't block the heat on the hottest month of the summer. and was finally put in when i went to the head property manager and demanded stuff get done and told her everything. now its been 6 months, not 1 thing has been fixed, and now for the last 3 months they got a new manager tracy, i gave her a chance to make things right and all i got was BS excuses and her pawning responsibility off on kathren telling me she isn't kathren so she doesn't have to honor the agreement made. Funny thing is though i did not make an agreement with kathren, i made it with nugget and the head property manager has known of these issues since June, so they just don't care about tenants, or even owners, they basically tell you to pay them money and shut up. and I am not the only one who deals with this, everyone i have talked to owner and tenant are not happy with their service, now all the stuff i have on them i plan on taking legal action for discrimination and un ethical practices and violating tenant housing laws. I would encourage those who have been going through the same things to do so as well, this company is a slum company and being disabled i have to save money to move, they know this which is why they have no problems taking my money and not doing a single thing they are supposed too. and because i confronted them about these things, when trying to get them to keep to their end of the agreement i am possibly looking at an eviction notice, even though my neighbors enjoy having me here, no complaints and i pay my rent on time. read more

Rented an apartment in Cottage Grove through Nugget Realty, and ran into a plethora of poor management issues. The apartment was only partially cleaned prior to my move-in - the carpets may have been vacuumed, but they smelled of cat pee, and trash littered the counters. We dealt with plumbing issues in the kitchen and both bathrooms for at least a month that we were promised would be seen to in a timely manner. When the plumber finally did show up, he ended up using my roommate's towel to clean up the overflowing mess he made in our bathroom. Throughout the entirety of our lease, and even afterward, the landlord was extremely difficult to get in touch with, as she was not always present in her office during her mentioned office hours, and she would seldom answer her phone or return calls. Near half of our deposit was not refunded to us, for no apparent reason. None of my neighbors had good things to say about the realtor/landlord, either. I don't know about buying property through them, but I would not recommend renting from Nugget Property Management. Better to just buy a tent. read more
