Greek Salad with broken lemon dressing was awesome!
    Marla F.

I usually always search on Yelp when I'm hungry and don't know where to eat but I had a promo code for Seamless last night so was on there instead. Ordered a greek salad (and a bagel with cream cheese for the morning to hit their delivery minimum). Why I'm giving 4 stars-- they have the BEST salad dressings ever! They make sure to reinforce on the menu that the dressings are made on premises and you can totally tell. I chose the "Broken Lemon Vinaigrette" for my greek salad and it was incredible. There's nothing worse than ordering a greek salad and getting asked "balsamic or ranch?" -- bleh. But not here! Also must note their high quality ingredients. They didn't deliver me old soggy 'on their last day' greens-- their lettuce was BRIGHT green and crunchy. Feta was nice and creamy (not like what you usually get elsewhere like cheap pre-crumbled feta that's dried out). Everything tasted so high quality & these things matter to me a great deal. Also PROPS to Certe for calling me to tell me they were out of olives for my salad. They added extra vegetables to make up for the lack of an ingredient. Very good customer service! I feel like other restaurants would just leave the olives out, hide and not say anything. A little confused why Certe is just listed as Caterers on Yelp though. You can certainly order 1 meal for delivery just like I did! Because of this- I've never considered ordering from them before because I was never looking for a caterer so had no clue they even existed. Awesome food here, hope they fix the Yelp page and I'm already trying to figure out what to get from them next! YUM!!!

    Certe Cheesesteak Sandwich
    Dave G.

I've read about cette since the early 2000's on a website called Midtown Lunch (which seems to sadly be dormant now). It was always ranked as one of the best spots in Midtown to grab a sandwich. Now, I'd been to their spin-off Pizza By Certe many times - and it was fantastic - so I figured Certe would be great as well. But somehow I never made it until now. Incidentally, due to COVID they closed Pizza By Certe and they now have all the Pizza items in this Certe. I got the cheesesteak. I mean, I'm a huge Philly cheesesteak fan but I knew this would be its own unique creation when j read they use a gooey cheese blend (3 cheese? 5? I forget but it was definitely more than one!). Anyway, it's a beautiful greasy mess of deliciousness. Get a bit of their homemade habanero sauce on the side if you like extreme heat like I do. Go easy with it... or don't! But give this place a try for lunch.

Super tiny spot, SUPERB Foods!! Wanted a real NYC pizza slice, got SO much more!! A HUGE variety of pies after the fist slice we ordered MORE and it was so worth the wait, you won't be disappointed...stop by before or after the MOMA...just a few steps away! I highly recommend the Traditional Pepperoni slice and the assorted mushroom (no pic) but it was topped in a creamy mushroom Bernaise sauce piled with sautéed assorted mushrooms, was SO good!!! Also, pics of the place, menu and our Pepperoni slices! Check it out, they also cater!!

Let's face it, bar mitzvahs are stressful, but one thing you won't have to worry about is catering with Certe. I'm a repeat customer and have found them consistently helpful and flexible. Yummy food and courteous, unobtrusive staff.

If you're looking for a small personal pie for a lighter meal at a good price, this is it! I have to give 5 stars for their service. I ordered their 7 in Uncanny Tomato Pie from Certe a couple of days ago, and received a call from their manager today asking for feedback. After I shared my honest review, she offered a 7in Cheese Pizza for me to try (which I liked a lot better than my first order) Will definitely be trying their other pizzas!

We stopped by Certé and grabbed a few pizzas, they were personal pizzas for $5 which is a great deal! Not only was it a very affordable lunch it was delicious and will definitely be coming back! I got a pepperoni and bacon pizza and my fiancé got a pepperoni with peppers!

    10 inch New Yawker Pizza
    Irene F.

The 10 inch was just perfect for two people. The New Yawker looks so simple, but the cheese and sauce are so delicious and flavorful. Everything tasted homemade. There is hardly any seating inside, but the staff is able to set up another table outside if you request it. The person working at Certe was so friendly to us and wrote this message on our pizza box. He also threw in some complimentary cookies and wished us a good day. I highly recommend you give Certe a try for the excellent service and tasty pizza!

One of the best pizza spots in New York. Service is great, ingredients are fresh and the food is so good. I had the garlic knots and the 4 cheese pizza and the fried spaghetti. Everything was so delicious:

    Italian Wedding Pizza 7"
    Eric F.

I've always come to Certé for their breakfast sandwiches, but this review is focused on their pizza to go. I was looking to switch up my lunch spots and saw good things about the pizza here and I was not disappointed. I ordered the 7" Italian Wedding Pizza for $6.75 and it was so worth it. It was nice and warm still by time I got back to my desk. The pizza had a nice thinner crust, hearty portions of the broken house ground meatballs, spinach, and cheese and red pepper flakes that gave a nice kick. The size was just right for a tasty but not food coma inducing work lunch. Looking forward to coming back again for lunch. Although they're usually pretty busy with catering and online orders, the workers here are all hard at work getting everyone's food prepared. It may take a little longer than usual close by sandwich or pizza spot, but worth it for the quality and price.

    Egg Sandwich
    J H.

We ordered from seamless and the food was very mediocre. Most of it was tasteless and bland ex. the acai bowl (which came in a tiny cup), asparagus and leek soup and egg sandwich. Worst of all, the 7 grain bread which I requested for the egg sandwich was completely burnt (see attached pics) but they chose to invert the slices thinking I wouldn't notice?! Besides the burnt bread I also expected more from this sandwich since it was one of the popular items listed on seamless. The "freshly" sliced turkey I requested was completely dry and flavorless. Will not be ordering from here again.

You cannot go wrong with the food here no matter what you're in the mood for. These guys are awesome~ It is a small shop serving freshly-made, to-go food ranging from breakfast to sandwiches to pizzas to yummy pastries. There's always samples of different foods for you to try, and the daily specials are ever-changing and delicious. Service is fast, and the food comes out warm. I'd definitely recommend you give it a try - you'll be laughing at the guys waiting in line at Dig Inn next door as you walk away with your incrementally better food.

They obv forgot about my order. This is how vegetarian socca looked like when it got to my door.

I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

We started with two fabulous drinks: An Espresso Martini and their signature Limoncello Margarita. We shared the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and it was fabulous. You will taste flavors that you've probably never experienced before with a pizza. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
