We lived here for almost five years. In the beginning, things were decent--management (Betty and…read moreAlbert) did a good job keeping the property maintained. Unfortunately, after they left, the overall condition of the complex declined significantly. Common areas became poorly maintained, with trash and pet waste frequently left around, and the hallways were often dirty. Despite being advertised as a "smoke-free" community, there was a consistent smell of marijuana throughout the property. The overall quality of the tenant community has also changed. There's been a noticeable increase in disruptive behavior--loud gatherings, constant noise, and a general disregard for shared spaces--which suggests that maintaining any real community standards is no longer a priority. If you work from home or attend school online, this is probably not the place for you. Management seems to enjoy scheduling inspections with minimal notice, as if residents don't have jobs or responsibilities to plan around. Then there are the fees. You'll quickly realize that "amenities" and "conveniences" come with a price tag--parking, garage access, and even basic "smart technology" features are all additional charges. It's less of an all-inclusive living experience and more of a pay-for-everything model. Security is also listed as an amenity, supposedly present at night--personally, I never saw them once. Move-out was especially telling. Expect to be charged for basic wear and tear--interestingly, when we transferred to a larger unit within the same complex, those same "issues" somehow weren't a problem. Only when leaving entirely did they become chargeable. They also require you to use their preferred cleaning service, regardless of how clean you leave the unit, which conveniently adds to your final bill. So yes, plan on paying more on your way out. Communication with management is about what you'd expect at this point. The office is always locked during business hours, and calls go unanswered, so getting assistance can feel like an unnecessary challenge. Overall, for the price of rent, the lack of upkeep, added fees, poor communication, and decline in community standards speak for themselves. If that sounds appealing, feel free to pull the trigger.
