The entire experience was entirely unprofessional. First and foremost, the entire store is ONLY men's clothing. My designer provided us a form with diagrams of where the measurements need to be taken. The woman who did them did it in the middle of the store (in front of everyone) and did not take into account my clothes. I had brought something appropriate to wear to have measurements accurately taken and they said it was unnecessary. I also brought the shoes I would be wearing with the dress. The designer SPECIFICALLY said to have measurements taken with the shoes on. Instead she insisted on no shoes, over top of my clothes, and including the bra I wouldn't be wearing with the dress. She only filled in about half of the measurements requested on the form. She seemed rushed and uncommunicative, mostly because she didn't speak ANY English. I was unable to explain why it was CRUCIAL I have all measurements requested on the form to be filled out, and she dismissed my requests. I decided that this was unacceptable, took my unfinished form, and promptly left. The whole experience was very impersonal and awkward to have done in front of about 7 other individuals who were standing right there within 5 feet of me. I wouldn't trust them to properly take my measurements for ANY dress, let alone my wedding dress.
