My father purchased this boat new in 1979. We used it heavily when I was a child, but the boat was…read morepoorly maintained for the last 10+ years. It was my father's baby and he had it custom built in southern Kentucky from a company called "Somerset". My brother and I were given the boat and told it was pretty much a lost cause. The interior including the floor, stringers, and transom were completely rotten from being out in the weather. We took the boat to Rob and he was very up front with us telling us that the boat was going to take more money to fix than it was worth. However, we told him our "sob" story about inheriting the boat and our father passing away in October and he agreed to do the work for us. We told Rob that the boat should be a low priority for him because we had engine work and the upholstery needed to be done too. Rob completely gutted the boat and replaced all the bad wood and installed new fiberglass. He even rebuilt the supports for the windshield and the bow seats. The work is absolutely amazing! Rob did a great job and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs boat service. Thank you to Rob for helping us put back together a "family heirloom"!
