Cross Country Mortgage (CCM) was the worst experience I've ever encountered when obtaining a…read moremortgage. If you are self employed, I strongly urge you to find a different lender. We started the loan process in mid May with a September 1st close date. Despite CCM having 3 1/2 months to gather our information, they did not approve our loan until 5 days before closing and on the day of closing they sent 35 esign documents at 1:00 AM. Our credit rating will is excellent and we have never experienced anything but immediate credit approval. They also required IRS documentation of taxes filed in prior years which they didn't attempt to get until 2 weeks before closing. Again, the had over 3 months and given we are self employed they should have contacted the IRS sooner. Nothing but stress when working with CCM. I would rate zero stars if that was an option.
