She also has family and friends here that attend this location. I was happy to break bread and pray with the congregation. I am studying the Hebrew language now, and I eventually will be learning to pray and sing the Bibilical Torah scripts. The people were nice and welcoming here as well as all of the others I have visited. Its just nice to know that I will soon be fully part of the community, and that I can attend any Synagogs around the world.

He introduced me to a wonderful new way of life. After studying Torah and encountering other realizations I needed a new spiritual path. He converted me to Judaism 19 years ago and I have enjoyed every second of being Jewish. It's how I raise my child and kept my home. He married my husband and I in a wonderful wedding in Malibu.This Temple with all the congregants laid the foundation of me becoming a better person and a better Jew. Through my involvement with sisterhood I understood more what volunteering meant. I've met friends that I will never forget. People who supported me in my marriage and with the birth of my son. Rabbi Mark even helped name my son at his baby naming ceremony. It was a sad day when I had to move to San Diego and find a new spiritual home but I always kept in contact with Rabbi Mark. We go to Chabad of Los Feliz on Shabbos because, like all Chabad Centers, it is a reliably frum place. Rabbi Korf and his eclectic and interesting group are both fun and serious. They also always put on a nice lunch. I hope this place grows and thrives as it is far from any other organized orthodox community, but has a great collection of interesting people and a nice rabbi and rebetzin.

On our third term of Chabad Hebrew school the rabbi finally took the time to read my intake…read morepaperwork and helpfully inform me that I am not jewish in the eyes of orthodoxy (my mother converted in Reform). It broke my heart to take a six year old out of school and away from her beloved teachers. If only my paperwork had been read when I first signed up we would have known to go elsewhere from the start. I am not religious enough to convert myself now as an adult. As far as community events go the Shabbat dinners and celebrations are inclusive and welcoming and I suppose if you are orthodox you know what to expect from the Chabad brand.
