I filed a viable claim with Erie Insurance for a burst pipe in December 2022, which I am still attempting to reconcile, with no guidance or assistance from this agency. At every turn, Casper has failed to advocate for me, instructing me at one point to defer to Erie's adjuster, all the while knowing almost nothing about me, my policy and associated rights, or my prior attempts at communication. Needless to say, I've recently filed an insurance complaint with the Commonwealth. If you've had good experience with Casper, that's as it should be. I decidedly have not, and am disappointed to hear from others than my experience is not only ordinary, it's commonplace. I will be switching to another agency upon resolution of my claim. If my request is denied, I'll be leaving Erie altogether, and largely on account of the indifference of this agency.

Was dropped after 2 at-fault accidents within a renewal period (clean record for 8 years prior), which is fine and totally within their right... had State Farm or Steve given me any notice. I realized a week after my renewal should have processed that State Farm hadn't collected payment and checking within their app, I had no active insurance policy. I called customer support to find that I had been not renewed and therefore my car insurance had lapsed. No warning. I had no phone call, text, email, snail mail... no communication from Steve or State Farm regarding being dropped. Cowardly behavior on their part, which has now caused me to become high-risk from a lapse in policy. My rate went from $135 per month to $700+ from sketchy insurance companies, which is not feasible for anyone. Don't let the State Farm "family" branding lull you into a false sense of security, you won't be given the decency of notice when dropped and it will ruin your ability to get car insurance. +1 star for office being kind as I went through the horrific trauma of a major car accident.

During the process they badger you for information which is OK because there is a lot to do in a month. The problem is that they asked me for the same information twice on several occasions. They asked me for information that I told them I could not get until 5 days before I closed because that was when I was selling my previous home. Additionally, I had a flood in my basement 2 weeks after moving in and the insurance check required a howard hanna mortgages signature. It took them two weeks to tell me what I needed to provide them and then when I did provide that info to them, they changed their mind. During that 2 weeks, i told them that I had a flood and I wanted to get it resolved ASAP to avoid living in mold and that did not seem to matter to them. All they seemed to care about was following their protocol which they seemed not to have. It was a check for $4500 not $50000. Well, by the time they signed the check and my contractor started, the mold spread throughout the condo. Thanks Howard Hanna, I hope your audits go smoothly at least.
