Chadderton's Post Office is a small post office, around a mile or so from Oldham city centre or perhaps 5 or 10 minutes when driving or on the bus. It is only a really small store located in a newsagents in the Chadderton Precinct.
The post office is a small two or three counters at the back of the store, so being in a newsagents it isn't the nicest or most modern of Post Offices and basically is there to get the job done, sadly the service isn't really fast and is perhaps slightly slower than normal and not in as friendly of a manner i'm used to at my local branches in Middleton, Manchester and Oldham.
The opening hours of this store are quite poor, most smaller post offices are open late on Saturday's now, but this isn't as it closes at 12:30 and then isn't even open on Sunday at all, which is a shame as I'm sure the shop is open longer and there must be someone who can run it at least to compete with other local post offices, and even some larger ones who stay open later and past last collection on Saturday and then on Sunday too.
The location is decent, it is towards the end of the Precient which also contains a Greggs, Boots, ASDA and Heron Foods to name just a few stores.
This is basically your slightly below average local post office, hence warranting a 2 star rating which is ever so slightly generous. read more
