My Godfather turned 80! I came here to help him celebrate. I loved this venue! It was just the right size, enough for eighty people. There was a small dance floor and large clean Restrooms. They also had a small bar. The food was wonderful. I had a greek Salad with creamy dressing, Ribs that had a unique flavor, flavorful Mashed Potatoes, and tasty Beans and Rice. How do I begin? I ordered lunch from Chadra and booked online. It stated delivery wasn't available online and I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Christine . In my rush to order, I ordered from the regular menu versus catering. I was horrified. Christine stated that the food would delivered per my request. The delivery arrived and the driver was so kind and informative. Christine went above and beyond and my clinics will definitely order again. Came here to celebrate my uncle's birthday. Our family was looking for something inexpensive, delicious and with meatless options. This place was suggested by my cousin and it was a hit. I had heard many good things about this place from a coworker and off Yelp. We came right as they opened on a Friday. We all got the buffet ($12). Several of the dishes were not out on the buffet yet. We waited patiently for them to all come out, piping hot and fresh. The buffet was smaller than I was imagining. It's an interesting fusion of foods: Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean. They have a vegan area (salad bar, veggies, fruit, hummus), a variety of meats/fish along the back wall, and an italian section (pasta/garlic knots/pizza). Many of the dishes are very oily/greasy especially the meats/fish. This is usually the case with these styles of food. They also don't have any dessert on the buffet! I hear their homemade ice cream is pretty yummy, but I was way too full and it was for an extra charge. My favorites were: the stuffed salmon (it's topped with lots of paprika and loaded with cheese and spinach), I loved the sautéed mushrooms (very garlicky!), the garlic knots (salty, pillowy, fresh), and the pizza. The pizza crust was light, crunchy, and had good flavor. Overall, this place appeared clean and the food was fresh. While I did like it, I don't know if I liked it enough to come back. We were visiting someone in the hospital (Baylor, Scott & White), it was getting late, and we were hungry. I wanted something close, walking distance (we've been sitting all day), possibly Mediterranean. The Yelp "open now" filter worked great. The closest option closed at 9PM, and it was nearing that hour. Next was Chadra, just a couple blocks away, and open until 10PM. Perfect. As we walk in, on Wednesday night, a bit more than hour from closing, I was surprised to see several tables still occupied. Good sign. Then I was surprised to see what looks like a buffet. Bad sign. Neither Thuy nor myself are fans of buffets. But, there is pizza on the buffet, and I am a fan of pizza. So we settle in and are given menus. We ask about the buffet, and learn on this night (Wednesday) it's $8.00. Well that seems like a deal. We take a look, and in addition to pizza, there are salad greens, pasta, and gyro meat. Looks pretty good, so we go for it. The pizza was OK, but the pasta was the winner. It was a basic penne pasta, but the sauce, a red sauce, was divine. I went back for seconds, maybe thirds. There was also hummus, which was good. We did not see pita bread out, so we asked, and got some. Perfect. Pita, hummus, greens, gyro meat. Yum. There were not many sweet options. We saw dates and something candied, with cinnamon sticks floating in the syrup. Without knowing what it was, we took some. Even after a few bites, we did not know what it was, other than really good. What is it? We asked and learned it is candied sweet potato. Wow, this item was quite amazing. So why only 4 stars? Well it's a first visit, and I generally think, "If it's that good, I'll be back, and that's when I'll up the stars." Well, I'm not so sure when we'll be back, and if expectations are adjusted for just the very reasonably priced buffet ($8, on Wednesday. Weekends are higher, but I was told there are more proteins too), the delicious penne, the outstanding candied sweet potatoes, and open late, well this really was as good as it gets. I have only ever been to their pizza buffet which is really what half of their menu is any way. 1/3 pizza, 1/3 Italian pasta dishes and 1/3 Mediterranean dishes. So really more of an Italian restaurant than Mediterranean restaurant. I did not go for Italian so I was not really pleased. The pizza I ended up eating was not that great either. So if you want to go to a Mediterranean restaurant for pizza this is the perfect place if you want mediocre pizza. Or if you want to go to an Italian restaurant with very few Mediterranean choices this is also a good choice. read more

To-Go Review: They were very quick in preparing the food and the service experience picking up was smooth. I had the gyro sandwich with fries. I think it's a fair price at $10 as fries and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. I'd definitely recommend using or getting an extra Tzaziki sauce as sometimes there may not be enough. That's strictly personal preference though, so I can see why they wouldn't overload it in the first place. I popped in here on a Friday eve with a simple dream of ambrosial lamb and red vino. I was not let down! I ordered the Lamb Shawarma: fabulously seasoned lamb stir-fried with onions, peppers, and tomatoes, served with a bed of delicately spiced rice. It was absolutely delightful (a little pricey at $17), and it paired gorgeously with the Lebanese Reserve wine I ordered (which I can't find listed on Chadra's online menu, otherwise I'd give you the name!). I had two glasses at $8 each because this wine was robust, drinkable, and had a lovely heat to it. I had plenty of food for leftovers, which was just as impressive the next day, although my Sutter Home Cabernet was not too fabulous comparatively! OH, by the way.. Beautiful Greek Salad with a TON of feta cheese, spicy wax peppers, fresh cucumber, crisp purple onion, plump olives, and dressing on the side - which I totally appreciate. Pre-dressed salads are usually too soggy for my taste! This is not a cheap dinner, no, but the food is awesome and the owners are so sweet. After months of being on my radar, I finally made it over to Chadra. We went in a group to celebrate my birthday, and seeing I have been on a bit of a BBQ bender, hitting up Chadra was a nice change of pace. Stepping in, I can tell why this place is such a favorite. A large patio, with a lively, soothing atmosphere. Not to mention, they have a buffet special for each day(even on weekends), so it is hard not to find something you like. Although the buffet looked quite tempting (seafood and lamb), the line was constantly full, so I decided to go with a la carte. My usual strategy with any new place I try is to find a dish that allows me to try a bit of everything, so naturally I was predestined to order the Kabob Trio. You get four choices of meats: Chicken, Lamb, Steak, and Kafta. I chose the latter three, as I usually stay away from chicken kabobs, since so many places dry them out. Despite the $19 price tag, the food did not disappoint. Each one of the kabob skewers had great flavor, due to the nice seasoning and char flavor from the open fire pit you can see when you look into the kitchen. Steak kabobs at most Middle Eastern restaurants often suffer the same fate as the chicken, they tend to dry out. Not at Chadra, and the lamb and Kafta were great too. Kafta is quickly becoming my favorite dish to order at Lebanese restaurants, you just have to love the flavor derived from the herbs and spices mixed in with the grilled ground beef and lamb. My brother mentioned I needed to order the falafel. They came out piping hot and are the best I have had in Fort Worth thus far. I can also confirm the garlic knots are evil in their addictiveness. You will feel ashamed for your lack of self control after you eat 5 of them. Chadra also has a nice selection of drinks and cocktails. All my friends liked what they ordered and we went through several rounds as well. I kept it simple and ordered a few rounds of Arak, I picked up a love for Ouzo and Raki through my Mediterranean travels so I tend to order them or their variants at any chance I get. So Chadra definitely lives up to its billing. Great food, good sized portions, and something for everyone. My next plan is to hit up one of their buffets too. read more

Very good restaurant. I've come here for both a lunch buffet and ordered off their dinner menu. For dinner, I got the Heavenly Chicken. It was more like a chicken Alfredo with bacon bits and spinach. It was really good but definitely not what I was expecting. For their lunch buffet, there were a lot of options and it was a good variety. Their Heavenly Chicken was there during the lunch buffet. There was also a lot of salad, appetizers and a couple of desserts. Overall, a very solid lunch buffet with enough options for everyone. Their garlic knots are also really good. It was pretty crowded during lunch, but you can probably still find a table without much of a wait. I generally go to Terra for their lunch but found this gem last week! I came with a coworker on Friday where they had a variety of dishes out (stuff salmon, ribs, spicy mushrooms, and even pizza!) I tried pretty much everything and could not go wrong with any of it. There hummus and pita chips are also very tasty! We decided to have another lunch with coworkers here the following Wednesday and didn't realize they change their lunch dishes daily!! That was what I enjoyed the most as it allowed me to try some newer dishes! The chicken kabob and falafels they have are very good. Don't forget to get desert here! I have only been here on the seafood buffet nights (Fri +Sat). I was surprised to find a few Italian dishes like caprese and pizza. I guess its for picky eaters that haven't warmed up to Mediterranean yet. They had the whole slew of Med dishes- hummus, dolmas, and kabobs. I really love the hummus here- its garlic-y and creamy without being too over powering. They also offered a variety of beautiful salads, fresh or grilled veggies, rice, and fruit- so vegetarians welcome. I also saw some fish and crab legs- but I think this is only on the seafood nights. They have a fully stocked bar- try the tamarind margarita. I'm usually not a margarita fan if they use the cheap sweet and sour, but this one was like eating Mexican candy- if you are into that kind of thing. Let's treat ourselves to something other than hospital cafeteria food, frozen lean cuisines, and leftovers. Let's order Chadra! It's the only place we can all agree on. It's so awesome to get foodie food from the trenches of the nurses' station. I love their eggplant lasagna (basically eggplant rollatini covered in vodka penne sauce). I really don't like their chicken shawarma though. They have an awesome buffet. Lamb shanks, squash stuffed with beef, and pretty good pizza. No desert other than fruit though. And that's only if you consider fruit a desert (and it isn't). They need some real desert at the buffet. Throw in some baklava or something and this would be a real five-star winner. read more

We called at 1:45 to verify that they still had the full vegetarian buffet on Wednesdays, and were told they do. We then asked how late the lunch buffet ran. We were told that if depends how busy they are, but that they usually start to clear it about 2:30. We only live 10 minutes away so we decided to go. We got there at 2:05 and were told after we were seated that they needed to start clearing the buffet so to get what we wanted. I was a little irritated, but we were already there, so we went up and got a few plates all at once. They did have a few vegetarian options, but they also had a few meat options. Most items were nearly gone. We basically took the very last of a few things. Admittedly, this was our fault for coming at the tail end, but when we called to ask it would have been helpful if he told us the buffet was half gone and about to be cleared. The flavor of the food was good. I tried the eggplant lasagna, veggie pizza, and broccoli Alfredo, along with some mixed vegetables, mushrooms, and bread. The vegetables were cold. The pizza was barely warm but I enjoyed the flavor. The eggplant lasagna was my favorite and I'm not even a huge fan of eggplant. Whatever the red bell pepper and nut spread is was also really good! I got some candied pumpkin off the salad bar and it was SO good! It tasted like gingerbread. We had our baby with us and he was getting super fussy. I let him run around outside a bit but we needed to go. Although our server disappeared, someone else (I think the owner) came out to check on us. We said we just needed to pay. My husband asked for a to-Go box and he gave him a hard time about it. Honestly, we just don't like being wasteful. All we had left were cold vegetables. When we mentioned not wanting to throw it away, he said something about how he had replenished the buffet for the next wave of people. I guess he was referring to the salad bar, which we hadn't touched since it had been refreshed, because there wasn't anything else out.
