Chad's is one of the best kept secrets, that I'm about to share. The food is lip smacking good! The customer service is friendly down home, 'come on in, pull up a seat, and have a drink with us', type of welcome. I had the beef brisket sandwich with cube beef and slaw on top. Jalapeño wings sweet and sticky, not hot at all, so all can enjoy. Mac n cheese is top notch, creamy and multi-layered with a variety of cheeses. Collards are perfect; onion and garlicky filled with lots of flavor! Never had restaurant greens this good. Local IP beers on tap and a small in-house bar. Chad's has won me over! Definitely one of my new favorite places. Oh,annd an honorable mention to the banana pudding that I took to go! So now that you know, YOU need to go!

Cute, local ambiance with friendly service! This side of the road spot is welcoming, brightly decorated, and is good for a pop-in or to stay a while. Smoked turkey sandwich, sans bacon: was this the best turkey I've had, no. Did it make for a satisfying enough lunch sandwich, sure. Bread was good, dressing was good, amount of turkey was lacking. Onion rings: not made in-house but very good. Batter wasn't too think and it stuck to the onion. Potato salad (homemade): made with red bliss and celery seed, it was delicious. Not heavy on the mayo and flavors were blended well together. BBQ sauces (vinegar based and smoky sweet) were good on every item.

I came here with my family, and order the 96 dollar family meal that included: 1 Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs 1 Whole Grilled Chicken (halved) 1lb. Pulled Pork (choose sauce) 4 Kielbasa links 3 Medium 16 oz. sides 4 Pieces Cornbread The Ribs: While tender the ribs didn't have much taste outside of the sauce. I could see the seasoning on the ribs, but was somehow still pretty bland. I was looking for a smoky element that just wasn't there for a meat the was cooked slow and low. Reminded me of oven cooked ribs. The Chicken: While it had a great crunchy texture on the skin, the chicken was bland and dry. We eventually discarded white white meat at home. The chicken felt like it was over cooked and then reheated, even the dark meat which usually can handle the extra cook time. The Pulled Pork: (Carolina style) was a toss up, you either like the vinegar based sauce that it comes in or you don't. It wasn't my favorite. I actually would've preferred just to try the meat without the sauce, just to see what the meat was actually hittin on, but I chose what I chose. To me it had a thicker pickling brine type of texture and taste that covered any/all of the actually pork taste that could've been had. The Collard Greens: The collard greens are absolutely invited to the cookout. If you see my picture of them, they taste as good as they look. No fancy frills, just good ol down to business greens. The Mac & Cheese: I felt there was room for improvement, but they weren't bad. A lot of bad mac & cheese is stiff with no flavor, or just melted velveeta over noodles, but the texture of these were spot on, maybe just a little more salt and pepper. Fries & Crazy Sauce: The fries were really good and paired perfectly with the sauce. The Kielbasa: Nope, i'm all for home made sausage, but around here the word Keilbasa has a very specific meaning, unlike the word which I guess translated in polish, just means "sausage". Whatever the case maybe, this sausage was bland, and again no smoke flavor. The Corn Bread: Dense AF, but good. I have to say that our first time here, Chads was actually closed for a yearly vacation that they take (there was a a note on the door). My wife and I really had high hopes for this spot, and so thats why we ended up back here in the first place. We were looking for the best bang for our buck and went the family meal route, but i think we may have had a better experience had we just ordered the sandwiches & wings, which looked fantastic coming out of the kitchen. However, I can't say that I would ever return for the BBQ alone.

Carolina pulled pork. Looks CAN be deceiving.

This is my second chance for Chad's. Missed the mark again do this will be my last time here. I ordered their kielbasa on white bread. Maybe that was my mistake, (not ordering only a bbq dish) but it came with two large links that alone didn't look appetizing, only one slice of bread, the snap was way too strong for my tastes. They didn't put napkins or ketchup in the bag for our fries. Instead of ketchup they give this white sauce. Feels like they're trying to be too unique and to me, they're missing the mark. Even with the soda which I can't describe other than it being a mild fruit drink or something. Nope, this is it for me. For $40 this was a kick in teeth!

This is the sweet potato side. Where's the rest?

This is our fourth and last time coming here. We have done carryout the last few times and what I noticed is that when I hit no tip or when I don't add a tip on the receipt I get a stale look from the female working there. I don't tip for Carryout. Yes I'm spending a lot of money but I feel that for Carryout. All you're doing is packing my food you're not bringing it to me I'm coming to the counter and getting it and carrying it out myself.. This last time was the worst we ordered $85 worth of food. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich they're supposed to give you coleslaw. The container was half full. We ordered sweet potato fries. It was half full. I asked for barbecue on the side of our ribs the family meal we got no barbecue sauce at all and we asked for bread pudding because we thought it said bread pudding, and the guy we told him we went to ice cream with our bread pudding and he was like yeah we don't serve ice cream with the bread pudding and we get home to see banana pudding, so maybe it was a mistake with communication and he wasn't paying attention to us saying bread pudding so many times , but after today our gut is just telling us we don't need to come back here. This business is not for us. The Ribs are absolutely delicious I would have rather eaten them with BBQ sauce. The corn bread is huge and loafy and dense. You gotta load with with butter to eat it without choking. The chicken is also good as well as the pulled pork sandwich, just disappointed we didn't get much Cole slaw. My review is on my experience the BBQ is why we came so many times. The greens are also good, Mac and cheese seems old it's hard. Refer to the pictures. I called to complain and told them the guy made us wait a few extra minutes cause he was making sure everything was in the bag. Should have trusted my gut and looked myself. The guy told us come back he would give us extra sauce but it's pouring rain and I'm not driving an hour to and from for sauce.

But they had been talking about Adam's Ribs for a long time so it was nice to find out that their recommendation was absolutely true. Adam's Ribs is not fancy. You can understand absolutely every word that is on the menu. There is no arrogant snot-nosed hostess looking down her plastic surgery improved nose at you when you show up to eat without reservations. But here is what Adam's Ribs does have - absolutely real, home cooked food that is delicious, servings that are big enough to make you feel sick if you eat the whole thing and great service with a smile from a waiter who has clearly tried everything on the menu. Bottom line? I love this place and would go back there tonight if it was not 1 hour away from me. We started out with the full loaf of onion straws. OMG wonderful! The onions were so sweet, the breading was perfectly crispy and not oily at all. For an onion lover, there is nothing better than this appetizer. It is served with a Daniel Boone-sized knife to cut and, believe me, you will need it! This appetizer makes a full meal if you are alone. My main course was the 8 ounce sirloin, medium rare. I am telling you that my steak was fork tender and really flavorful. Perfectly done! I was so full that I could only eat half of the mashed potatoes & gravy (which are definitely worth the calories) and none of the spinach (which was so garlicky that many vampires died during its preparation). Perfect meal! The other main courses were the chicken breast, the full rack of baby back ribs and something called "if pigs could fly" platter - basically baby back ribs next to a mess of beautiful chicken wings. I love that! Everyone was so happy with the meal that we were waving the white flag. No need for dessert because we were all so damn full. The server was Charlie. He is an asset to Adam's Ribs. Friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients and how everything is cooked. He worked his butt off to deliver great service fast and that he did, in spades. This guy truly must love what he is doing because he is so good at his job. Bravo to Charlie! Okay, so I am reviewing the place and I have to find something negative so say. The dining room is dated, a bit sparse and there is a smell that I don't like. Mostly, I think the smell is just old restaurant. But you get used to it and, once you do, you realize that Adam's Ribs is one of the few restaurants left that serves good quality, home cooked meals with regular old fashioned American ingredients! No pretense, no airs, just great solid food that fills you up every time! I would never let some little bitty old smell get in my way for one of the great meals that I will enjoy there in the future. I recommend that you go to Adam's Ribs and you better take all your friends. You will be VERY glad you did!

All the outdoor seating was full, and inside there was only one table available. Most of the tables are larger, so we noticed some groups sharing space, which actually worked out fine. The restaurant has a great open-air feel even indoors thanks to the large garage-style door that opens up an entire wall. For drinks, my wife ordered iced tea and I had a Peach Mule. The mule was good, but next time I'd skip the rim garnish. They also have a big beer selection, and the prices seemed very reasonable. For food, we ordered the brisket burger (single patty with cheese, topped with shaved brisket, jalapeño slaw, raw onion, pickles, and sauce). They offer a deal where you can add a side and drink for $5, so we added onion rings and also ordered the Serpent Fries as an appetizer. The fries came out first and looked great and they did not disappoint. Fresh cut with bacon, pico, scallions, and a serpent sauce (seemed like a beer cheese). Really flavorful, I did ask for ranch, which was an extra $0.50. I understand charging for extras, but not everyone uses ketchup or mustard, so that felt a little unnecessary. The burger came out shortly after, and it was excellent. We split it, and it was packed with flavor. Honestly, adding bacon would make it even better a "Triple B" (Bacon, Brisket, Burger) would be perfect. The only letdown was the onion rings. The onions inside were very thin and overcooked, leaving them dried out with little flavor. Even without the over-frying, the onions themselves just didn't have much taste. Definitely something they could improve. Overall, it's a great spot for burgers and fries, and we'll definitely be back for that. We saw other dishes come out that looked good too, so there's more to try next time.

The Cubano sticks to the script and does it right. You really can't lose with it--good flavor, balanced, and just a solid sandwich overall. The smashburger is another no-frills win. Fresh beef, fresh ingredients, and everything complements each other without trying too hard. It's just done right. The cheesesteak isn't something I'd call a true Philly, but in a pinch it definitely holds you down. The meat is seasoned well, with onions, mushrooms, and cheese coming together for an enjoyable sandwich. I appreciate that Regional doesn't overcomplicate things. My only real critique was the roasted potato salad. I paid $3 for a cup, and while it tasted good, there was lettuce stuffed at the bottom to make it look fuller than it was. That rubbed me the wrong way, so I wouldn't order it again. Portion sizes overall are fair, prices feel reasonable, and I like that there's something for everyone on the menu. My wife saw they had black bean soup and a pork special, so we decided to stay and were seated. Since our last visit about a year ago, they've made some changes. The seating has been updated, with a second bar added along with high-top tables and booths. The space looks very nice. Our server came over, took our drink order, and we asked for a bowl of the black bean soup. When he returned, my wife asked how the pork special was, and he said it was very good, so she ordered it. I ordered the cod fish and chips. When the food came out, everything looked good at first. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were very greasy -- it seemed like the fries were placed on the plate to soak up the grease from the fish. My wife's pork dish was worse. She was given two slices with connective tissue running through them that were so tough she couldn't even get a fork into them. The other piece was also extremely tough and difficult to cut, and the gravy had no flavor. When our server finally came back to check on us, my wife showed him the pork. His response was simply that he would let the manager know and take it off the bill. There was no offer to replace the dish or bring her something else to eat. After that, we never saw him again. My wife eventually asked another server for tea, which a different server brought. Later, another server came by to see if we were finished. I asked how much the eggnog was, and she quoted the price for a bottle, said I just want a glass, she said I'll get you a menu I explained to another waitress I just wanted a glass. Eventually, I got it -- though I asked for it without ice, and it still came with ice. At that point, I just drank it. The best thing was the bean soup. Overall, this was not a good meal and honestly the worst experience we've had in the 10+ years we've been coming here. Between the food quality and the lack of follow-up from our server, it was very disappointing. It will be quite a while before we return.
