A great bubble tea shop in the plaza with lots of restaurants around. With thousands of locations around the world and seven in Canada, they serve 100% pure leaf teas that are fragrant and delicious. I got their most popular selection of the osmanthus oolong milk tea and found it to be delicious with a strong oolong tea flavour. Their other drinks also sound really delicious like their rock oolong milk tea, grape flavoured oolong milk tea, matcha series, and more. Overall, a good milk tea spot that is worth checking out!

My gf and I hopped over here to buy a tea because Molly Tea next door ran out of stock of almost all their teas lol. The cashier was very helpful and patient. The other thing I noticed is that the menu is actually really small at this place, meaning they specialize in select teas. We opted for longjing green milk tea w/ matcha since that was the drink that stood out to my gf. As far as the tea goes, it's quite good. You can taste the tea leaves. Both of us agreed, however, that Molly does have stronger tasting tea still. Moreover, we both concurred that we've had stronger matcha elsewhere at many other places. Also, if I'm not mistaken, each tea here is slightly more than a drink at Molly and I already think Molly is overpriced LOL. If I return, I'd prolly try a different tea as I don't think I uncovered their signature drink yet.

Went to Chahalo as my friend was raving about how good it was and I of course had to give it a try. Commerce gate probably has 10 different bbt chains in the same plaza now. I got their green milk tea with 70% sugar and it was sooo good! It had a strong tea flavour which I love, and that delicious creamy and floral aftertaste is just how I like my bubble tea. Definitely my new go to get green milk tea from now on.

I love the oolong osmanthus drink. It has nice layers of flavours and made me appreciate the taste of the tea without any tapioca. It reminds me of Chagee. I tried the Jasmine drink as well, which was good but I personally prefer the depth of the oolong osmanthus.

Chahalo isn't cheap but delivers the best iced tea in the game. I absolutely love their tea--it's always super refreshing and delicious. Unlike the usual bubble tea shops, the sweetness of Chahalo's tea is very settled, which allows the drinkers to enjoy the full spectrum of the tea flavours of their choice. It makes a perfect treat in the afternoon with friends. The service may vary based on location. To me, the Commerce Gate location (Richmond Hill) has the most friendly and approachable services. The locations are all very clean, tho the Scarborough location can attract lots of smokers outside of the store for some unknown reasons lol.

Osmanthus charm and black pearl

Tried chahalo for the first time yesterday because my friend was raving about it. I really enjoyed the drinks we got. We tried the Osmanthus Charm and Black Pearls. Both tasted very very fresh and the tea was really strong, which I enjoyed. Definitely will be back to try the other flavors they have. I don't believe they have tapioca though? It wasn't on the menu. I didn't quite like their whipped cream but their milk foam was really yummy. You can also opt to not have whipped cream on top. The staff was very kind and fast. They also give you good quality bags for free that allow you can keep your drinks cold or hot. They only have couple of seats as the store isn't very big but definitely still a solid bubble tea spot.

Handmade Brown Sugar Pearl Milk

Tried their handmade brown sugar pearl milk and it was amazing! The pearls were perfectly chewy and had a rich brown sugar flavour that wasn't overly sweet. You can really taste that everything is made fresh. The milk was super creamy and balanced out the sweetness nicely. Definitely one of the best brown sugar drinks I've had - can't wait to go back and try more!

Reviewing 2oz of Coffee (located inside Now Tea)…read more This coffee counter is known for doubling up their espresso shots in their lattes, so get ready to be well caffeinated. I arrived right when they opened, and there were already a few people waiting in line. The menu is small & curated, focusing more on the coffee than specialty flavours. However, they do have a good selection of flavoured lattes. I wasn't able to see which beans they used for the espresso, but overall, their roast seems to be a bit darker/stronger, which balances out a sweeter latte well. I tried the iced biscoff and pistachio lattes. The biscoff is slightly sweeter and nuttier - definitely my fave of the two. The pistachio latte, in contrast, was disappointing. It was $1 more than the biscoff latte, looked nothing like the photo on the counter, and didn't taste much of pistachio at all. Although it looks like a separate counter, I realized that you can order drinks from either "shop" from their one main counter. I also found it a bit confusing to figure out the hours of operation, as Google said 2oz of Coffee opens at 11am, but the Now Tea shop isn't open until 12pm.

The only thing i have to say is the worker could be a little faster. She took about 25-30 minutes in total to make 5 drinks. 3 for the person ahead of us, and 2 for me. We went around 10, so they weren't closing anytime soon either. She was nice though. Depends on the nights at the plaza, weekdays is okay but weekends are always chaotic. I typically hit Kinton Ramen in this plaza, fetch food, and leave. It was nice to have already parked for two hours. I got here at noon. There were plenty of spots available. After doing a quick look at the bubble tea places to choose from, I chose TP Tea. There's one closer to my home, across the border (it sounds fancy) in Scarborough. I needed to check out a different location. TP stands for Taiwan Professional. I still think of my former intern who disliked a software tester at our workplace who creeped her out. She nicknamed him TP, which stood for Toilet Paper.... haha! Anyway, I digress. I walked in and there were two staff members. A young man came over to help me with my order. The Thai milk tea looked so good in the poster on the door that I went with it. I couldn't get it without any sugar, so my order became less sugar and ice. I also got tea jelly. I had never heard of tea jelly before. Tea jelly in tea? Hey, why not? I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. I also signed up for TP Tea's points program. You simply enter your phone number and sign in through the touchpad each visit. You can get free toppings, free drinks, and more. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. This store is deep and narrow. You can't sit down and enjoy your drink. You also can't use the washrooms. The woman behind the counter asked if I needed a bag. I politely declined and said that I was going to drink it now, which made her laugh and nod. I wished both folks a great day and headed to my car. The Thai milk tea ws excellent. If you like strong tea, you want to come here. The milk was perfect to balance out the tea. I loved the tea jelly, which added a cool flavour dimension to my tastebuds that I have never experienced. It was awesome and I got a decent amount of it! Less sugar worked out nicely. My drink was a touch sweet. Perfect! I had a great experience. I hope to return to this plaza and get more drinks off the menu. (463)

Absolutely a nice plus to look at while waiting for your order. This is my first time here and only time any Kung Fu Tea had no tapioca. Anyways place is pretty quick when you order your food. It wasn't a long line up or anything. I would come here again in hopes it would have Tapioca at the very least.

Delicious drinks and very instagramable--props to their design team for the concept. Their prices are also pretty reasonable too. However, I would defiantly go for a non-plain drink. I think their tea isn't quite their strong suit, so it's not going to be comparable to bubble tea shops with great tea as their drink base. I peeled off one of them and noticed Song Tea. Interesting. My quest was to find a Song Tea and see what the difference was between the drinks at the two places. I wasn't interested in why the name was covered up. It's not really my business, but it did spark my curiosity to try Song Tea. I did a search and found that this location in Richmond Hill was the closest to me. After running a number of errands a couple of Saturdays ago, I placed an order through Uber Eats for pickup. I ordered the following drinks: - Blue Curacao soda - Pink peach soda I had the former drink at Deer Mango, so I would do the comparison between stores with it. I love carbonated drinks, so I had to get the other one that was available. My order was ready well before I got to the store. Due to the lockdown, it wasn't busy at Times Square. For years, I avoided this area like the plague because it was busy and parking was chaotic. It was the complete opposite when I got there. There was a lone car parked in front of the store. I parked next to it and walked in. The store is cute. I would think that it was much cuter before the pandemic. There was a little whirlpool that was empty. I looked at older photos and it had colour balls and plushies. It looks like the mascot is either a llama or alpaca, which made my day! I talked to the woman behind the counter. She was so friendly. I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. She pointed at the bag in front of her and said that it was mine. I was thrilled. I thanked her and left with my goodies. I had the drinks when I got home. Let's talk about packaging. So much care went into it. Both my drinks were in a crate in the paper bag with a cool camouflage motif. At this store, I was able to specify that I didn't want any sugar in my drinks. I didn't have that option at Deer Mango. The lowest sugar option was 30%. The small pineapple chunks in the blue curacao drink were yummy. I love this drink so much. It wasn't sweet. It had carbonation. It was pretty. It tasted great! I then had the pink peach drink. It was so good with the small strawberries. The peach flavour worked well with the strawberry bits. I loved the fizziness. It also made me feel like it was summer drinking this beverage. I am a huge fan. I haven't dropped by in over a week and have withdrawal symptoms. I will return. (238)

For me, the drink itself is about 4/5 (barley milk tea), but my overall experience is what brings this up to a 5. When I walked in, I was greeted with the staff there who were very friendly. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I had stepped aside to look at the menu. They noticed and didn't pressure me in taking my order, but instead asked if I had any questions and had let me smell the tea leaves. For a more upscale bubble tea store, I appreciated that very much. I ended up getting the barley milk tea, and the flavour did not disappoint. The barley taste definitely came through, and it wasn't too sweet. Note: for sweetness level, get one lower than what you normally get. Trust me :) Overall I would come back when I'm in the area and craving for bubble tea to try other drinks.
