This is the last in my series related to my knee surgery to replace a torn ACL. See…read morelasthttp://www.yelp.com/biz/osi-physical-therapy-saint-paul-3#hrid:3K1H4lUQ2Z8CI_P0i3B1Ew for the previous review. The Brace Place is owned by St. Croix Orthopaedics. I came to this conclusion because 1) their web site is a single page in the St. Croix Ortho web site, and 2) their office is in the same building as the St. Croix Ortho clinic in Stillwater. So it's not surprise that when my doc said I needed to get a post-op knee brace before my surgery that he recommended The Brace Place. It was only a few days (maybe a week) before my surgery, so I didn't have time to shop around and had no idea where to start. I feel like he should have disclosed the face that they owned it. With that said, however, I'm pretty happy with the shop. There is one main guy that runs the place and he usually has an assistant in the office with him. I've been there three or four different times and each time there is a different assistant. But all of them knew their stuff. They were able to answer my questions, were very friendly, and never talked down to me. The main guy is a bit grumpy when you talk to him over the phone, but when you get him talking about what he really knows (braces), he gets friendlier. I wanted to go in to get an adjustment on a brace and didn't want to make an official appointment because I knew it would only take a few minutes. When I called, he complained how busy he was, but he would see if he could help. It was around the Holidays, so he didn't have help and when I got there, I had to wait 15 minutes before he showed up. But he was very helpful once I saw him and got the brace adjusted. It turned out I was putting it on wrong, but he wasn't condescending or impatient about it. Overall, I would recommend The Brace Place for any of your medical bracing needs. You can get basic braces for limbs and joints off the Internet for cheaper, but if you need a "professional" one for surgery or active sports, I wouldn't shy away from recommending them.

I went to the GFS on 3/21 for my severe Morton's Neuroma. Tyler worked w/me. He found me insert…read morethat he said would work. I struggled w/them for a whole week. They wouldn't stay in place. The adhesive on the velcro would heat & melt & they kept sliding off the inserts. I had to adjust them 30+ x a day. I went back Monday after & returned the inserts. I called corporate to let them know what was going on. She was absolutely no help & told me I had to schedule an appt & go back to the store. I had no other option but to go back to the store. They "fit me" (mind you these are not custom) with a different set. I had no choice but to abide. The next set fit much better where they weren't sliding, but let me tell you about the pain that it caused me standing at my desk, walking, hiking, etc 'cause my feet were in so much pain (have photos). I went shopping for maybe 45 mins that following Saturday & I couldn't even walk anymore. I had to have my friend pay for my stuff while I went to the car to take my shoes off for relief. I set up another appointment on 4/10 & Tyler agreed that the inserts will not work for me. He mentioned he tried to help another gentleman w/Morton's Neuroma & that failed as well. To this day, I am still having extreme foot pain, that's far worse than before I went into the store. Also want to mention, when I went into the GFS on 3/21. Tyler said they have free financing for 18 months. I asked if it was a hard inquiry & if so, I'd rather not go through financing. I could've paid a different way. He assured me it was a soft check. Then about 5 minutes later, my watch notified me that I had a hard inquiry on my credit, in which I told him right away about it. I now have a hard inquiry on my credit report for up to 2 years. My score dropped 51 points. I did not authorize a hard check on my credit & I want that dismissed off of my record & I want my full refund, not just the $1335.79. I filed another dispute with CareCredit for the full refund. I will take this further if needed. I almost ended up in urgent care. That's how bad my feet hurt after wearing these inserts.. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE OR SHOULD I SAY FEET ACHES AND RUN!

Came with swelling and sore ankle left with a whole system felt pain relief as soon as I put them…read moreon thanks Ty I will be recommending to friends and family
