Be very very careful when dealing with CRC. At one time these were my preferred Distributors for anything I needed when I was building a bicycle until such time as I needed to return item in order to get a different size. That turned out to be just a nightmare, first they gave me a tracking number that is invalid so I can't follow where the package is. Second, they have told me they have not received it and they just blow me off asking the same questions over and over again even though they've been answered. I don't expect to ever get a refund from these people I think the way that they are able to undersell folks is when you return an item they tell you it's lost and then they resell it, if you reselling something a couple times you can cut the prices down now can't you. Perhaps if you're in Europe these people are safe but if you're in United States stay away from them you're better off paying a little extra and dealing with an American company or your local bike shop. I'll never deal with CRC again and I recommend you be very careful if you do. read more

I had ordered a pair of cycling shoes a few months back and when they arrived they were a size and a half too large. The description of the shoe failed to mention that the brand ran significantly larger. Not cool. I tried to return them and once I did that they were either lost in shipping or Chain reaction cycles got them mixed up with another item and lost it themselves. I tried several times to contact them through email and they were not helpful at all. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They did not even care that my package went missing and REFUSED to help me with the refund request, even after I provided them with proof that it was in fact sent back and gave them a tracking number. Also, it's a little strange they do not provide a customer service phone number to reach them at. What's up with that?? weird.. I have no clue how they have any decent reviews (probably fake). No wonder everything is discounted.. nobody wants to buy from them. I pretty much threw my money in the trash to this company and will definitely not be buying from here again nor do I advise anyone else too. Don't waste your time with Chain reaction cycles!! I've only ever dealt with CRC online, and to be honest, it's been a mixed bag, sometimes you can order on say, Monday morning, and have it the next day, other times you can wait a few days, I ordered some bike parts from CRC the same day as I ordered some from a tiny backstreet shop across the water, the stuff from across the water arrived the next day, the stuff from CRC a few days after. I ordered an "in stock" bike for my sons birthday, a couple of days later I got an email saying they couldn't fulfil the order and I would be refunded in a couple of days. That left me hunting for another bike at short notice whilst going overdrawn until my money was refunded. In short their IT system needs work, but if you're not in a panic, they're fine. read more

FAIR WARNING CRC does not care if you receive your order! Purchased a wheel set from CRC with 1 out of 3 Parcels Arriving 2 LOST! Purchased a wheel set from CRC with a pair of brake rotors and some hardware it was shipped in 3 parcels all 3 show information was received by USPS but only one shows any movement and tracking activity. it finally arrived turned out to be the rear wheel of the set the front is no longer available in the configuration ordered can't be replaced. i received the loss notice from the main logistics company used to ship my items. Now i have to wait another 5 working days for the investigation when i was told of the loss by APG eCommerce Solutions was after a 2 day investigation on my request for a delivery date. You have no options or choice on the logistics companies contracted by CRC and the hand off in the US was to Newgistics out of Austin Tx some negative reviews on them... Informed Delivery with the USPS sends daily updates of all deliveries and they are the last in line to handle the items in the states so proof of non delivery or delivery is easily produced. If 1 out of 3 or 4 parcels arrives then CRC claims to have delivered the order never mind the other 2 or 3 missing parcels. I have lost almost 300usd due to CRC "the worlds largest online bikeshop" inability to safely deliver on the purchase. read more

This review is based on my many dealings with chainreactioncycles.com, online. Firstly their selection is just amazing. They were the only place I could find that had a set of helmet pads for an older Giro helmet.They also carry many parts for older bicycles, including tons of 9 speed tranny parts and parts for older disc brake systems. Secondly, their prices are fantastic. If something does go on sale, pick it up quick 'cause you are sure to miss out as they sell out on items. Spend more than $100, and you'll get free shipping to Canada. The longest I've ever had to wait was 2 weeks. Thirdly, they actually answer their emails. And don't worry, they won't treat you indifferently just because you are on the other side of the "pond". Fantastic, wish there was a site like this in Canada. read more

Pros: Low prices, fast shipping. Cons: VERY poor customer service experience. Ordered a groupset and they sent me two front sets of brakes instead of a set for front and rear. When I brought this up with them they immediately blamed me (because obviously I'd need two front brake sets to build a bike right?) and refused to assist telling me it is my fault and need to order the rear brake separately. Bottom line: I refuse to do business with a company that doesn't treat their customers well. It's not worth the lower prices, you're better off going somewhere else. read more

I ordered from CRC almost a month ago. I ordered shoes, lube a tire and a few other things. I live in Hong Kong and thought d save a few dollars. The first order arrived in Hong Kong to be then sent back to crc. Then at the same time the shoes and lube were then out of stock. I never got the shoes and they just simply refunded the money.To this day I don't see the logic in that because the shoes arrived back to them in the original shipment. So confused. Then they resent the other items to me minus the shoes. That was more then two weeks ago and as I can see by tracking it is sitting at hk airport and hasn't moved in 4 days. I contacted crc again about this and they were no help at all. This is the second order in a row that was messed up. They also blamed me for it. Customer service was also horrible. I tried posting a review on the crc site and every time I did they rejected it because it wasn't a positive review. Shady all the way. They have lost me as a customer for ever. I have ordered twice from Chain Reaction Cycles. Once was a bunch of Shimano parts which shipped the next day and arrived at my home Los Angeles 6 days later. Prices were significantly lower than anything here in the US. I also ordered some custom Hope/Mavic wheels which took a week to assemble and then another 5 days before arriving in superb packaging 5 days later. First order took weeks to arrive. Second order, sent the wrong item. CRC sent elbow guards instead of the knee guards I ordered. Really? Now I have to the post office, fill custom forms, wait weeks for it to get to CRC, have them see if they can fix it, and maybe send the correct item. How long is that going to take. Just easier to sell on ebay, take a loss. Will never order from CRC again. AVOID! read more
