The egg pot was unfortunately not as appetizing, but the meats, salad, and especially the radish paper made up for it. Service was quick when we requested for another round or changing the grills. Came here to meet friends..not my most favorite Korean bbq place..it's loud, chaotic, the floors are greasy and the place is old. It's all you can eat and I'm not a fan of that either. Came here for a family dinner. Were a big party and they were able to accommodate our large group. i was kind of disappointed that they didnt offer corn cheese. They have two options for meat selection. The staff here are really nice and always checked on us if we needed refills of anything. My husband liked the soup but i was underwhelmed with the egg dish. This is a good place to take your family or large parties. If you are doing the A-level menu I would stick to the thinly sliced beef and pork belly. If you are doing the B-level menu I would add in beef tongue as well. I also like their selection of banchan. The potato salad, japchae, and fish cake were my favorites. The restaurant wasnt too busy on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated almost immediately. Each plate that we ordered were massive! It didnt even fit on the grill! You had two prices choices to chose from. We opted for the cheaper price. The side dishes were unlimited and so were the soft drinks. We only ordered 4 trays of protein before we said it was enough. After being denied at several kbbq locations, we went to trusted ol Cham Soot Gol! I have a very picky 6 year old who can only eat very specific things so eating at kbbq is out of the question. Cham Soot Gol allowed him in without any fuss even though he wasn't going to eat. The server was very nice. We were seated right away which was convenient given that it was pouring rain. It was a little funny because all of the tables had 1 side booth and the other side chairs. But it worked out fine. We ordered from the lowest menu. Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed with the service during my last visit, but I noticed none of the usual staff were there they're normally on top of everything. The sides are always solid, the meat is on point, and I really like that they give you ice cream after your meal. Cham Soot Gol has great banchan and good meats. I only eat the beef brisket so I can't speak to the other meats but it's nice and thin and the taste is good. They serve bottled beer, soju, and sodas and includes banchan including red cabbage kimchi, japchae, bean sprouts, cucumber, potato salad and you can order extras such as tofu soup and steamed egg. There are other banchan and other items but I can't recall offhand. At the end of the meal they serve pre packed ice cream in a container. Green tea, chocolate malt, and strawberry. There is a large parking lot and the inside of the restaurant is pretty spacious. read more

Just came out of this restaurant and had to write a review about their awful service. We first had a good impression because the food is actually good. Meat quality was better than other AYCE I've been to, but the service is absolute shit. We found this bug in our salad and the only thing the one of the waiter does is silently take the salad back and the napkin with the dead bug then brings back a new salad again with no apology or just literally no word at all. We lost our appetite just by how much the service sucks and unfortunately changed our mind about not wanting to be back here. Been coming here for over 10 years now and this place does not disappoint. Sure, there are a number of kbbq spots down the street that are newer and flashier, but Cham Soot Gol is where you wanna go. The meat selection is the perfect amount of variety and the quality of the meat is great. They don't skimp on the meat portions, but they also don't overload you with one single item. Not usually a bulgogi gal, but theirs really surprised me. The meat wasn't super sauced with the marinade and the quality really stood out. That was probably my favorite meat of the meal, but honestly all of the meats were tasty and I would get them all again. One fun perk of this AYCE spot is that you get ice cream at the end. Pre-COVID you were able to get essentially AYCE ice cream, but now they serve it to you at the end of your meal. Not necessarily as fun, but love that they still have it. Service was most excellent with Kunal, who remembered all 10 items our group requested at one time and he brought them all with nothing missing, only remembering them off the top of his head... incredible! Iv been coming here for awhile now with my boyfriend, I would still come back but our dinner experience on Saturday (November 23rd) was alright. We got seated around 730ish pm and our server (Danny, I think that's his name) was very friendly in the beginning, but after receiving our meats and drinks and extra side dishes, he never checked up on us again. We wanted to order another round of meat and get refills on drinks, so we waited for our server to come back because we thought he was busy. The restaurant didn't look too crazy busy & if it was, we would understand if the server is busy but around 15 min later, we decided to call on another server (we called the girl server). We told her what happened and she apologized for it. For the rest of our dinner, she took our orders and refilled our drinks. The other server never checked up on us, after taking our first order. I've been going to the Buena Park location for several years and it's always our go to for Korean bbq. The food and service is always good.

It was my first time at this kbbq place and we arrived a little later in the evening but still got seated promptly. Once we got seated, our server Bryan asked us if we wanted any drinks at first. Afterwards, we ordered our meats and a different server named Sam came and provided our meats. The meat quality here is actually really good and they don't give us the cheaper quality meats just because we're young assuming we don't know any better (it's happened before). The side dishes were pretty good as well. We also ordered steamed egg, kimchi fried rice, and tofu stew as well. The kimchi fried rice was good, steamed egg can be improved, and the tofu stew was too little compared to other restaurants. They provide garlic, jalapenos, ssamjang, and pickled jalapeno/garlic on request. They also give ice cream at the end and it is ROCK HARD! My spoon did not go in at all... def needs to thaw for a while before consuming. Overall, the restaurant itself was nice and all the employees seemed to be very attentive to what was going on. Made my first trip back to Cham Soot Gol in Buena Park since the pandemic and it definitely didn't disappoint. They have a good selection of meat and other items on their menu. Staff is attentive and checked in with us often. Always a positive experience here and we've been patrons for many years. Cham Soot Gol is on Beach Boulevard in Buena Park very close to Knotts Berry Farm and other popular attractions in this area. They are located in a small center with other businesses and have plenty of free parking in front of their entrance and surrounding to service patrons. The inside space was clean overall and as mentioned, the staff were attentive, helpful, and efficient. We ordered a ton of meat including the brisket, diamond cut pork belly, spicy beef, bulgogi, and much more - all were tasty. The steamed egg was also a hit at our table. At the end of our meal, they were still offering ice cream, however, the ice cream was pre-scooped instead of self-serve as it was pre-pandemic. Definitely a nice touch to cleanse the palette after the meat fest. Overall, Cham Soot Gol is a solid AYCE Korean BBQ option in the area that is priced fairly and justifies the quality and service.
