I've been ordering delivery here since covid started, and there hasn't been a miss yet! I love this place!! I highly recommend their shrimp mei fun medium spicy. I haven't found another Chinese restaurant in the suburbs that can make it as good as them. It is soo good that sometimes I just crave it! The tofu with mixed veggies is also flavorful and delicious. I haven't physically gone to the restaurant, so I am not sure how it looks, but delivery has never been bad. They also provide you little tea bags for free in your bag. read more

I had the spring rolls as an appetizer. They were so good. They're accompanied by a sweet strawberry sauce...very different. The entrees were also very good. Ordered take out last night a little after 8pm for delivery through Ubereats. The order was ready in less than 10 minutes and on its way out the door. That is way too fast and I should have already known it was going to be an issue. Both entrees were undercooked and the veggies in both were almost raw and very crunchy. Especially the onions. The chicken in both entrees had a really weird texture and the chicken in my fried rice had a fishy taste to it, and when you mix that with the mushy texture, it makes for a really nasty experience. Really hoping that the chicken was precooked because those three bites I took before it went in the garbage have me scared for my insides. I've ordered from here before and I haven't had an issue prior so really curious why this happened. Maybe the cook didn't want to bother with making more food when they were close to closing, but then don't accept any more orders after a certain time. Ordered ahead online since I had a 30 minute commute. No issues on there site, able to choose what I wanted fairly easy and customizable. Even a section for nut allergies, which was great because I didn't have to type it in on all my orders. I arrived 5 minutes earlier than expected but the girl at the counter was very nice and let the kitchen know that they can finish my order.My wife and I tried their coconut shrimp, sesame chicken, and sweet sour chicken. All the proteins were delightful, had a 15 minute ride back home and still crunchy at first bite. I would say the only downside I will have to give is that there sauces were VERY sweet. I didn't expect this restaurant to be as good as it is since it's in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. But it is good, starting with the Shanghai egg rolls. The sauce for them was unremarkable, but the rolls themselves are tasty. We also ordered hot and sour soup, sizzling shrimp, basil shrimp and ma po tofu. They give you a lot of food. The soup alone might have been enough for lunch. We're going to have some leftovers, which is a good thing. The soup and basil shrimp were spicy without killing the flavor of the food. Service is friendly (counter service) and the food comes out hot. This may be my new standby Chinese restaurant when I'm out here. read more

The placed was packed on a Friday night, there was only one server running the entire place and she knocked it out of the park! Our order was taken promptly, the food came out piping hot and fresh, and everything from the soup to the entrees and the rice were outstanding. The udon noodles were excellent, Mongolian beef and egg fried rice were fresh and flavorful. The interior was beautifully decorated and the bowls the food was served in lovely. A meal for two people (with leftovers!) was under $50 + tax. We will certainly be back! read more

Well. Back up to their shenanigans. Just tried ordering 80$ food over the phone and was quoted a 30 minute pick up time. Showed up and told the front desk guy I was there but realized there were 9 patrons ahead of me. Bad sign. After 30 minutes of people coming after me to pick up their food, I asked the hostess when my food would be ready and was told they hadn't even started it yet. She said it would be at least 15 minutes longer and I said if she couldn't promise that time, to cancel me. She walked back and the cook yelled "CANCEL CANCEL!!!" I was offered a hollow apology and then she asked to help the next person. We need some better food options on the east side of St Charles. They'd make a killing if they took care of their customers. read more

Chamber Red was our next stop as we eat our way down Main Street in Saint Charles, Illinois. The dining area was beautifully decorated with Chinese decor, clean and well-maintained. As we entered the restaurant, we noted a sign indicating they were low on staff, directing us to come to the counter to order. As waited for our food, and while we ate, many people kept coming in to pick up takeout orders. A good sign of good food. And the food was amazing. The lunch and dinner specials was a pleasant surprise, $12 dinner specials served Tuesday through Friday 3 PM to close and Saturday and Sunday all day. You can't beat the price anywhere for food this delicious. We enjoyed the Sesame Chicken dinner, the Broccoli Chicken dinner, and the Honey Walnut Shrimp dinner. Everything was served, hot and very flavorful. We will definitely be returning to Chamber Red in St. Charles. read more

I hate to have to give this place a bad review because we thought we had found our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, the quality has really declined. They no longer serve the jumbo pan fried pot stickers that were so delicious! Now you will receive what I believe are frozen pot stickers. We were asked if we wanted them steamed or crunchy?? First time trying the "new version " I ordered them crunchy. So hard I couldn't eat them without risking breaking a tooth. No joke, sadly had to throw them out. 2nd time I tried the "steamed " version. Even worse, just slimy pot stickers with no flavor. Honey Walnut Shrimp was my go to dish! Used to be very fresh shrimp, hand battered and tossed in the yummy sauce. Well now all else is the same except they use frozen breaded shrimp. It's very obvious and not what the dish calls for. I don't mind price increases if the food and quality is great but when the quality goes down it's really disappointing. If they go back to the original recipe I will definitely be back. Listening skills could improve. I drove 25 miles just to grab a bite from here as I used to stay in St Charles. I called in for my order and she repeated what I ordered which the chicken fried rice w/o vegetables but medium spicy. Assuming the order was exactly as I always get it got home to find that the rice was exactly how I didn't order it. Just plan rice with chicken. I could have made plain rice at home minus the price of the rice and the miles driven. I ordered the lunch special with Kung Pao Chicken add crab rangoon and a Coke. It was 18.82. Everything came out piping hot and the flavors were wonderful! It definitely tasted like all of the ingredients were fresh. The crab rangoon had a lot of filling and a good balanced crisp shell. The sweet and sour had a small piece of strawberry in it. I am not sure if that means it was made fresh, but it tasted fresh and came out warm. The chicken kung Pao was great. I couldn't tell if this was all white meat or a mix, but it had no gristle and tasted like it was made with all fresh spices. I wish I could keep coming back here, but I'm from out of town and just stopped in for lunch. However, I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

The same variety here as Chinese take-out places but in a casual, comfortable sit-down restaurant format. Appetizers have gotten as large and pricey as entrees so I was delighted to find my meal in the Red Sampler, which included two each of six different meat and shrimp apps. A companion had broccoli and beef. There was nothing flashy about either meal but we enjoyed them both and their ample portions. Service was a bit off. For example, after removing one finished setting--an indication we were near the end of our meal--our server disappeared. I eventually had to go find him to get our check. This was our first time eating at this restaurant, and it was DELICIOUS! We had the Crab Rangoon, General Tso Chicken, Teriyaki Beef Sticks and the Hawaiian Fried Rice. I have to say, everything was done so well. The meat was tender and juicy with lots of flavor, and the Hawaiian Fried Rice was quite a surprise. When our waiter brought it to the table, the presentation was awesome! They cut a pineapple in half, and cut out the flesh to then stir fry it in with the other ingredients, and then put the stir fry back into the shell. Spectacular! Our server was very pleasant and attentive to our needs, and the decor was quite nice. They can accommodate 1- 6+ groups of people. Bravo! Job well done Chamber Red! We placed an order here for Yelps big night in to support local restaurants. I was able to order easily through Doordarsh. They were extremely busy when we arrived. The cashier answered the phone and had to take two more orders while we waited to talk. She was extremely nice to us. She brought the food out to the car wearing her mask. When we returned home, we ate a portion of the food. More than enough food for another meal. read more

While I was waiting, 3 other pickups were served, two of which arrived placed the order there. The food that we got was really good, there's no denying that. I've been a loyal fan of this restaurant for years and years now. Before covid it was my go to place for celebrations. All the food is extremely fresh tasting, always well seasoned and delicious. I used to love the Szechwan chicken but unfortunately that has been removed from the menu so now I get the Thai basil. I also love the egg rolls here best around in my opinion! read more
