It is a drive to everything but is part of the charm. The owner Johan helped us plan all the meals and winery visits, all spot on. He has good taste in everything, as you can see from the beautiful Chateau. Being in the castle made you feel disconnected from everything which is dedicatedly part of the charm.

The food was delicious - a pike fish roll in cheesy sauce and the local tripe sausage, which was wonderful but not for the faint of heart. The somewhat reticent staff person who checked us in and was also our waiter cheered up a little when he realized that we knew what we were eating and appreciated a local butcher's chitterlings! But the truth is that we felt a little bit out of place here, as if we had interrupted the flow of life rather than being guests. This would be a four star review if it were only about the food, and travelers with good knowledge of French customs would probably do better and enjoy this place more.
