An experience like no other! We first had a delightful brunch here. So many tasty things to eat. They accommodated my vegetarian diet, which I appreciated. We took a tour through the cellars and chalk caves - very neat to see! We took part in tastings and loved everything we tried. Highly recommend!

Pricey, but possibly the best brunch I've ever attended. Upon arrival, we were served champagne and unique appetizers while we toured the grounds. We visited the salt caves and learned about how champagne is produced complete with a dramatic art finale. We then partook in a champagne tasting while dining on the MOST amazing food. Highly recommend!! Note, the tour guides spoke many languages so you never felt left out.

Really thoughtful and interesting tour combined with a beautiful outdoor area to drink after. Maison Ruinart has a deep connection with art, and you'll see that on the tour. They have a lovely house with some really neat pieces of art that you'll see before the tour. The cellars are nice and I'd recommend a jacket as it is quite cold. You'll taste a few wines and then have options on your own. After, you can either enjoy their outdoor garden and purchase food and/or drink to enjoy or you can buy wine to take home. They do not ship their wine so if you didn't drive don't expect to take any home.

First time tasting Ruinart champagne and first time visiting the house. We did a tour with tasting, and it was pretty interesting. The majority of the tour did discuss a lot of artist collaborations with the house and showed the collaborations. Apparently every year the house partners with a different artist to come up with an original piece of artwork inspired by the house. Our tour also took us down to the cellars and finished with a wine tasting. We had a choice between a regular rose/vintage rose and regular champagne/vintage champagne. Our tour guide was also good, she had a fun sense of humor.

I visited four champagne houses during my trip, Ruinart by far had the most beautiful house. Artwork and rich in history. We came early to the tour, carrying bags from a precious tour. The security guard after much negotiation with our driver let us come behind the gates. We were not allowed to go to a waiting area and found a curb to sit on. This house takes this champagne and history very seriously. I would recommend NOT to bring children.

We spent a great afternoon at Ruinart, pre-booked as its not the sort of place to turn up on the off chance! We were welcomed by the security guard who radioed through to the main house and then warmly welcomed by our hostess. Once the 8 of us had assembled we set off deeper and deeper into the remarkable underground chalk caves where the champagne has been stored for centuries. The caves are breathtaking, huge and ancient and full of thousands of bottles of champagne-in-waiting. After our explorations we returned to the main house and seated ourselves in the gracious drawing room for our tasting. We were offered two glasses of champagne each, blanc and rose. We liked them all however, the overall favourite was the Dom Ruinart Rose.... delicious. Now we can say that we have drunk €200 a bottle champagne. Oh yes. The champagne lifestyle.

    The house loves art.

The underground cellars are impressive and definitely worth seeing. After the tour we enjoyed a tasting, which included one glass of champagne. From the moment you descend into the caves, it's clear this is not a standard cellar walk. The experience is elevated with curated music and contemporary art installations throughout the underground galleries, which adds an unexpected and immersive layer to the tour. It feels thoughtful, atmospheric, and incredibly well done. The guide provided rich historical context and detailed information, making the history of the house, the chalk cellars, and the champagne-making process easy to follow and genuinely fascinating. You leave feeling like you truly learned something, not just checked a box. The tour ends perfectly with a delicious champagne tasting paired with lunch, which was relaxed, elegant, and beautifully executed. The champagne was exceptional, and the overall flow of the experience felt seamless from start to finish. If you're deciding which champagne house to visit, put Pommery at the top of your list. This is not just a tasting...it's an experience you'll remember long after the last sip.

Sure, I could have ponied up…read more€30-50 for cellar tours and tastings at the big houses but let's face it, I can drink Tattinger and the like at home. I was really interested in trying small producers that don't export. That's where Tresors comes in - it's a tasting room coop with 27 small, local wineries showcased. Can we talk about the interior? So clever! There's a giant map of Champagne on the floor and each producer is numbered - pull down their bottle from the ceiling (see my pics) to learn more. I love that each winemaker is pictured - we were given a small booklet with more detailed info on each winemaker as well. Each day there are 8-10 bottles open for tasting. You can taste by the glass (price varies) or do a flight of 3 for €20. My husband and I each did one so we shared 6 wines from a light blanc des blancs to a more intense rose maceration. My favorite ended up being a 2008 vintage - it was perfection. I can't say enough about how great our sommelier Laure (hope I spelled it right!) was! She thoroughly explained each wine and the overall process that the vintners go through. My only small sad is that they really don't ship to the US (due to state specific regulations) so plan to perhaps taste a bunch here and perhaps grab a special bottle or two. Prices varied from €20/bottle to MUCH more but I can tell you that I truly liked each wine I tasted. This shop was one of the highlights of my vacation - it was everything I was looking for. They're close to the train station so definitely do not miss them!

You'll be able to purchase bottles (and cases) of bottlings seldom seen back home, and more importantly be able to taste maybe 6-9 open bottles among 180+ cuvees they carry at any given point. It's a great opportunity to learn a lot about different cuvee styles and the growers behind them, some of whom have an intense cult following among enthusiasts. All at reasonable prices and among super-friendly staff, the shop space is totally lovely too. Extremely highly recommended.

They also have tours and tastings here at La Demoiselle, but if you have already been to the Pommery tour, you will be seeing something very similar, except that the atmosphere here is a bit more intimate and charming, as it truly is a fancy estate, vs. a large warehouse. They also have a large random selection of "unique" modern art exhibits on display here as well, such as a pudgy version of batman flying above the tasting room, and a floating chair trying to escape outside. The tours are also of the caves, and include tastings of the Millesimes d'Or. This place also required reservations in advance, but it was VERY empty as I think most people just stop at Pommery and pass this place by.
