As far as malls go, this is a pretty good one. There's lots of stores to choose from that fit many different budgets. It has several of my favourite stores, such as Ardenes, H&M and newly opened Hot Topic. The mall is fairly comfortable to shop in with big wide walking areas and is well kept. Their is a large food court and even has a couple places that offer vegan choices (Guacamole, Subway, etc.) I'm not a huge fan of malls or shopping but this is a pretty good one. :) read more

Champlain Place is located just minutes from Downtown Moncton. This one level mall has over 160 stores and eateries including Sobeys, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. This mall also went through some major renovations over the summer. The food court with 10 eateries looks nice and bright! There is definitely no shortage of coffee places here including Tim Horton's (similar to Dunkin Donuts in the USA), Starbucks, The Second Cup, and Crepes Delicious. My travel buddy and I recently did some shopping at Champlain Place. He wanted to check out the hockey equipment at Sport Chek and I wanted to check out several stores including Sony Style, HMV, Coles, and EB Games, plus I needed some refreshments to recharge. My family and I go to Champlain Place most times when we need to go shopping for new clothes and other things as well. All of the stores that inside the mall offer exactly the style that i like and want!! I shop at most of the stores when i visit the Champlain Place! It's a good mall overall. I especially like the open layout, the big chain stores like EB games and Walmart, and an abundance of great restaurants in the food court. However, it is very much lacking in smaller shops, like comic book stores. I have been to this mall dozens of times and every time I feel disappointed in the fact that I can't buy comics or collectibles at this mall. Good in general, but if your looking for specialty items, you should look somewhere else. read more

It's a pretty good mall in an area of the country with very few good malls. It might be the best mainstream mall in all of the Maritimes (although I'm no expert on that subject). It's a big enough mall run by Cadillac Fairview (same as the Eaton Centre in Toronto), with more than 150 stores. If you come from a big city and you've been to lots of big malls, this one won't stand out, but it has very little competition. If I lived in Moncton, I would likely be here several times a month and be happy it were here. As a regular visitor to Moncton, I do come here occasionally, but I don't go out of my way to ensure that I visit. Like most cities, the presence of a big mall seems to have hurt the Moncton downtown somewhat, which has shifted more to offices, restaurants and bars as much of the retail has migrated to Champlain place. read more

I found out today that I am now a second rate citizen in my country. I walked up to the Champlain Mall in Moncton, wearing a mask as required, despite my asthma and excessive perspiration (meaning my body temperature is always warmer than most people's.) Although I was sweating and uncomfortable with the mask on, I ordered food from Tim Hortons in the Food Court. When I walked through the designated entrance (as the rest is now blocked off) to sit down to enjoy my brunch, two men stepped out behind me saying, "Sir, please, sir." I turned around and asked them what they wanted. To my surprise, they told me I must have PROOF OF VACCINATION (a 'Vaccine Passport') in order to enter the dining area. They pointed to a sign stating as much. I told them I did not, and that we will all have to fight to get this country back. They actually agreed with me with nods, and yet, they are serving the role of enforcers for this divisive tyranny. The sterner of the two guards had even warned/threatened me that police officers are also around to handle anyone trying to enter the area without passports. Afterwards, I walked over to the Sobeys Deli and asked the lady behind the counter where I could sit to eat. She first suggested the Food Court, but when I told her I don't have a Vaccine Passport she suggested I sit down on a bench in the hallway. And so, I sat down on a bench and ate like a second rate citizen. When I could have relied on Amazon or ebay like a lot of people, I preferred supporting local businesses, from local Ma and Pop Shops to the mall. I will no longer step foot inside the Champlain Mall. It is large businesses like them who have the resources to combat the provincial and federal governments legally. How am I, the Little Guy, and now a second rate citizen, supposed to fight? All I can do is to vote with my ballot and with my wallet. And of course, I can speak out. read more

Great place for shopping. There is a good variety of stores for everyone in the family.

If you have small children this is not the place to go, you aren't allowed to use shopping carts throughout the mall which is absolutely ridiculous. It's near impossible to carry a small child and purchases at the same time, not to mention how rude the security guards are, I will not be going back. read more
