Let me start by saying I would NEVER hire a law group that 1) has the owner, Leah Chaney (formerly Askey), who was Prosecutor at the time on a case where an INNOCENT man, Russel Faria, was convicted of the murder of his wife. 2) Leah Chaney and the Judge on the case, Christina Mennemeyer, went to HS together and their kids played on the same sports team.. conflict of interest, no?? As of 2017 many of Mennemeyer's cases were overturned because she had "violated the judicial code of ethics". 3) A detective close to Leah on that same case, Michael Merkel, is now going through his own legal battles being indicted in June of 2025 for two counts of perjury to secure a murder conviction!! 4) This same detective has now hired Leah Chaney's law firm to defend him. Pam Hupp (who was their STAR WITNESS against Russell Faria) is currently in jail for MURDERING Louis Gumpenberger because she was overlooked by this woman, Leah Chaney, and her entire "team". Just search up the names I've mentioned in here and google what's happened to them since everything came out about the **Betsy Faria** case. DO NOT HIRE THIS EVIL PERSON to defend you. Leah's Askey (now Leah Chaney), led the corrupt prosecution of Russ Faria which ended up costing at least one life. Louis Gumpenberger and quite possibly Shirley Neumann too. (Pam Hupps mother) Lincoln county has paid out millions due to her incompetence /wickedness. (I think some of each) Its my understanding the new Sheriff and Prosecutor ,in Lincoln County, are investigating Leah now for misconduct. Truly every time I hear you speaking to Keith Morrison about how you still believe you did a great job prosecuting Russ Faria, I'm again completely dumbfounded that you're still allowed to practice law. It's mind blowing. Anyone considering hiring Leah Chaney should first watch or listen to the 2022 Dateline coverage of that case.
