2023 Chaparral 21 SSI OB, 71 Hours, bought boat new, concave deformation was not there. No external cracks, scratches, I have not hit anything, something internal has given way. Marine survey shows boat is NOT safe! I have a 2 yr old boat I cannot use, trade or sell! Chaparral refuses to honor their limited lifetime hull warranty, even with a marine survey! This defect has the potential to cause serious injury and/or death, not only to anyone in my boat, but also other boats! STAY AWAY FROM CHAPARRAL!!! read more

I was looking at the reviews and don't understand so many bad reviews I purchased my 1800 SL 1992 brand new and this is 2024 the biggest repair bill I ever had on that boat was when we had to replace the Bellows for the outdrive so my feelings are this boat owes me nothing been very happy with it for all these years PS I am not one of those people who spend a lot of time taking care of the boat I always felt it was one of the best made boats I think I was right because it's still in great shape ( knock on wood ) read more

We purchased a BRAND NEW Chaparral Surf in April of 2023. In August the throttle cable snapped leaving us stranded on the lake. This was followed by a series of unavailable, back ordered, and or broken parts arriving and without a boat for a prime boating month. This year we have had the boat out for three weekends, and a u joint is now bad and they are discussing replacing the lower unit with no timeframe on when we may have the boat back. While I am no mechanic, I would expect maintenance failures of a used older boat but we purchased a new one. Chaparral has been completely unhelpful, with back ordered unavailable parts and no care for the fact that we don't have boat for the first two summers of owning it. Let me begin by stating i love my boat a 1998 240 signature. I bought it new, i have taken care of it and it still looks brand new! Over the years i have communicated with corporate customer service and they were a great team to work with. Because of their eagerness, Commitment As avid boaters I often attend boat shows, i Can truly say i personally sold at least 8 boats for various dealers. When i would share stories of how customer service helped me with various projects with potential customers, they signed on dotted line! My recent experiance with cprporate has made me regret those sale and wishing i never bought my boat from Chaparral! Their customer service Department is arragont. Will mot return calls. I was recent a victom of violence ,my boat was shot. I knew i was in for a challange. I had just arrived at lake to find windshield blown apart. I have a CC i can have somthing overnighted. To save the week long trip i was on. It has been 2 weeks since i called and emailed! And their website was not working either (to find a desler) With out loyal customer you are doomed to fail! We purchased a brand new 2018 203 vrx jet boat from our local dealership last year (2018). From the day one it was delivered and put on the water we have had nothing but issues mechanical. The 250HP has failed multiple times (long block replacement, fuel pump assembly replaced, super charge unit replaced, rebuild engine, Injections replaced/rebuild, and a multiple other things) Our dealership asked us to contact BRP and Chaparral and gave us their direct numbers and names and neither of person's wouldn't ever call back. They would have someone else call to deliver message. Chaparral and BRP has been asked from us multiple times to make things right. I've been completely polite and respectful every phone call conversation. Chaparral has no interest in helping with there faulty products. We have asked Chaparral and BRP to: Replace complete motor setup, we have asked to move us in a different boat with a different motor that's not faulty, and we have asked to purchase the boat back. Every response and answer is no. We have dealt with a faulty motor setup for 14 months with no resolution. Their resolution is to rebuild a motor and how many times do you do repair before making things right with your product. Can you imagine purchasing a brand new boat and it doesn't run correctly day it hits the water and its in the shop getting everything replaced and rebuild multiple times. And then delivered back to you saying its working as it should when you can't water sport with no more than 3 persons including the person on the water. When it was told to you directly from the dealership it can perform these tasks and its stamped 8 persons or 1500lbs. This process has made up us sick and very upsetting and robbed family time now two summers on the lake. We are respectful, good hard working people that expects to be treated correctly. read more

I had issues with my new boat from Chaparral and the dealer couldn't answer the questions I had so I contacted Chaparral myself and they called me back the next day however since that day, March 8th, they will not return any calls or emails and have still not answered my questions about parts missing off of a new boat I ordered. I would think that paying well over 100k for a boat would entitle you to some kind of customer service but I guess not. I would never purchase another chaparral product just because of that. Between the dealer screwing up my order and Chaparral's horrible customer service this purchase has been a nightmare. read more

I was a little concerned after reading the prior review; however, I had excellent customer service when I called for assistance today. The phone was answered by a friendly voice, and I was transferred to Robin. (There was quite a delay, but it was worth the wait.) Robin addressed my issue, worked to investigate and fully understand my concern, and pointed me in the right direction. As it turned out the issue was with a Volvo part, and Robin took the time to confirm I had the information necessary to contact Volvo a well. Thank you Robin and thank you Chaparral Boats! We have enjoyed our boat since 2007, and hope to enjoy it for many more years to come! read more

Bought brand new boat. Missing lots of parts. Dealer wont help or is unresponsive. And i cant even get through to chapparral themselves because they never answer the phone. Dont buy chaparral if you to get all the parts of the boat or you want customer service. Furthermore, the gas gauge is totally in accurate, the steering wheel doesn't aligned even vaguely straight, built in nav doesn't work at all. Missing table stand, cushion support, bimini support. Really just awful for the price. read more
