As such it is the only independent and thus unique feeling coffee shop in Bangor West really. The coffee is excellent and the lack of direct competition has clearly done nothing to stifle standards here. All the usual coffee fayre is on offer and to a high standard. On top of this there is a range of food options that you won't get in the chain coffee places. You can get a proper hot breakfast/lunch as well as sandwiches and a range of sweet stuff. The muffins tend to be pretty special in here despite my usual lack of a sweet tooth. For me both the staff and the ambience of the place are what keep me coming back. It is simply a lovely place to sit, particularly the large glass area to the side which is cosey in winter and bright and airy in summer. The staff are lovely, welcoming and often chatty without it being forced 'customer service training' friendly. All in all there aren't really any other places to head in this part of town, but if there were they'd have to go a pretty long way to top Coffee Cure anyway.

When we arrived it was busy, we were told to take a menu, sit and order at the bar. Some people came in and I think were used to waiting to be seated so in order to get a seat just walk in and work away. Very busy with families and couples and service was fast. I got poached egg and bacon on sourdough, which included two of each items. The egg was fab - the yolk was so yellow and just right its the best I've had in a long time, it was really tasty. The cappuccino was also smooth and went down well. Himself had the same breakfast finished by a tea which was an authentic tea leaf cuppa. It's also a help yourself to water over at the side and they have some infused with lemon and mint which is refreshing. Not an extensive breakfast menu but I often think the smaller the menu the better quality of the good. They also do matcha lattes. This place is on Belfast's Lisburn road, and although we had arrived just before 11am on a Monday morning we found on street pay car parking space very challenging to find indeed. I keep reminding myself that we are supposed to be in austerity yet the coffee bars are full and on street parking is at an expensive premium - seems austerity is only for the poorest and hammering down on our public services like the NHS, education and on and on. Although the sandwich was tasty and a lite messy due to the coleslaw and rocket the beef was not rare. There was also quite a bit of fat around the edges of the beef. Opted for a watercess, feta, beetroot and quinoa Salad as a side order. For 3.50 this salad was huge but a bit salty. Unfortunately didn't have room for dessert but took a look at all the lovely treats on offer for future reference. Great to see they are licensed as well, I will be back to try out the dinner menu along with some cocktails.

They also have a bistro/restaurant in the evening which runs fantastic one off deals such as from Wednesday to Saturday this week and from 5pm they are offering buy one get one free on the main courses. They also offer a comber steak night where two people can dine on two starters, two steaks with the trimmings and a bottle of wine - I've seen this done before in other places but I have heard this one mentioned time and time again. In the daytime enjoy a coffee or tea with homemade scones selling at £1.00 each - happy days. And they have Wi-Fi and baristas - the perfect combo! Awesome!

There is plenty on offer for a wee cuppa or to head in and get a quick bite to eat for lunch of afternoon tea. The stuff is very nice but is pretty expensive, you will certainly be left reeling by some of the prices but its all home made and is lovely quality and always very tasty. I would definitely recommend the Ulster Fry as long as you don'y mind the staff being a bit weird with you. Its right in the centre of town so parking can be tough at busy times but you can always park round behind ASDA or down at the marina and just dander here.
