Asked numerous people numerous times for a details on my insurance bills and received nothing. Was told to call carrier. Called carrier and told per Chapman's instructions, that they couldn't talk to me. Never received details on my policy premiums. They deserve NO stars. Cara asked me to send vin #'s and info for coverage on my home. I did. For a week I tried to contact her. FOR A WEEK I GOT SHE WILL RETURN MY CALL. Now I get she is on vacation and another somebody will help. Just resend info and they will get er dum! Don't waste your time here is my advice. New to Florida so I called Chapman and explain that I want everything to have hurricane and wind coverage. I emphasized that I want my home, poolcage, boatlift, seawall covered by insurance. They told me some things would need Riders to extend the normal coverage. I paid for what they reccommended, as they(Chapman) are the experts. I had this coverage for 3 years., then IAN hit. Chapman told me to file my claim directly with the Insurance company(Heritage). I had 50k loss but Heritage denied most of it stating that on page 8 of 14, paragraph 5. Anything made of aluminum is not covered during a hurricane. Pool cage is aluminum, she'd is aluminum, boat list cover is aluminum, windows are aluminum. Chapman sold me a policy with extra riders that didn't cover our main concerns. NOR did they go to bat for us or push back on Heritage Insurance. Do your own research... do not trust this company. Chapman Insurance is in the industry and has to know which companies pays their claims and who doesn't. We purchased our home about 4 years ago in Matlacha, FL. We reached out to Chapman Insurance to help secure insurance policies for the peace of mind of knowing if something were to happen, we would be covered. So, out of all the major carriers, Chapman Insurance Agencies could have recommended and had us purchase... why sell us the bottom of the barrel with bad customer reviews, bad reputation, bad payoff history, etc? We trusted them to provide us with policies that would actually protect us. They make money for being the middle man. It's their job to sell us the policies that actually provide us proper coverage and should not represent or recommend any companies that don't do right by the homeowners. My guess is, they pay a higher commission and that's why you keep them on your recommended list. From our experience, American Integrity and TypTap are the last insurance companies you should waste your money on. They should be the last insurance companies Chapman Insurance Agency should have ever recommended. Not only have we not received any money, we still haven't even received offers, no actual reports or findings or anything. Shouldn't this be illegal?!?...To hold policy payouts to deserving homeowners that have dutifully paid the premiums. We have over $500k worth of damage, our house is uninhabitable and we are still living in an apartment with NO compensation, what so ever. It's been nearly 10 months after Hurricane Ian. This company, Chapman Insurance Agency has never even apologized or reached out to assist us in getting them to pay. Now, we will be forced to sue both American Integrity and TypTap just to collect the money we paid for our peace of mind. Our mind has not had peace, at all through this process. To me, they sold us crap insurance policies, with the false promise of us being covered, with untrustworthy companies. Should they not be held responsible, as well?!? How is this legal?!? Sold us insurance. We paid for the whole year. And the two weeks later we get a bill for another $3,000. contacted them and said we needed to provide wind mitigation which we did. Emailed and called Brittany at least six times and she Kept saying she would fix it. Insurance subsequently canceled because we didn't pay the extra $3k. Worst customer service ever. Absolutely will not do business with them ever again. Thought I was getting a great plan for my new home and unfortunately Krystal forgot some really important information about how insurance works and now I'm without a policy and a giant check in my hand from the insurance company searching as quickly as I can for another carrier DURING HURRICANE SEASON. It is unbelievable that somebody like this is able to stay in business! I've never gone to the better Business bureau before but yes I will be going to it now. Just for everybody to know, since she didn't, an insurance company has 90 days to reevaluate a home if they see fit. The home we purchased had a older roof and that was one of our number one concerns in purchasing the house and we thought we had insurance and would have coverage for the next year while we started saving money to replace the roof and get a lower rate. She was absolutely stunned when the insurance company went out to the home and inspected the property again and then canceled the insurance. She was kind enough to email me a heads up that they were going to cancel me because the insurance company didn't send me anything in the mail except for a check. Please do anything you can to stay away from this brokerage and find someone that knows what they're doing. I cannot believe the situation that this company has put us in when they could have easily said this could be a problem in the very near future. read more

The agent Travis Thawley was great in the beginning of our insurance search. We received a few good quotes from him however another agent sent our realtor low quotes. Two months later without a phone call or email frontline cancelled. We reached out to Chapman got passed around to other people not one return phone call. Poor business practice poor and inconsistent quotes no communication lack of ethics and professionalism. Would not recommend for any type of insurance. Awful! No one returns your calls. My insurance expired 02/24 and the mortgage company still has not received the bill, a policy or anything stating I have insurance or that I have renewed the policy..Today 03/08 we were on the phone trying to get them to send an invoice or quote so they can make a notation on my account and pay the policy.. on top of that I don't even have a copy of the policy. I was told once the premium is paid a copy will be sent out to me. In the meantime, the Mortgage company can't issue a payment without an invoice or a copy of the policy so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place waiting for my policy to be paid. I really think it could have been much easier than this. I won't use them next year. I'm gonna have to find another agency for my hazard insurance. The Mortgage will be paid off this year and I won't need flood..so, if anybody knows of a good insurance agency, please send me information. read more

We've been with Chapman Insurance for a several years now and they continue to provide great service and savings. We insure our fleet and personal vehicles with them and have been extremely happy with the service. We reduced our bill significantly when we moved our insurance over.
