And Yapps would not be a bad place to end up outside when the engine finally cuts out. They're happy to help clueless people like me that still don't understand why you fill the car with petrol at the back when the engine's at the front, and they won't take you for a ride either. They have standard prices for everything and they'll talk you through it first. It's as cheap a service as you can expect from car related things and their service is really fast. I'd recommend them, which I believe I've proven by the fact that I just did.

If I wanted to get a second hand car I don't think I would get it from this place and would rather find a dealer that was also selling new cars, this would give me confidence that the cars warranty actually applied. The lot is pretty much open to the elements so it would be hard to find a car that hadn't been standing still for a while unless this place has a high churn rate for second hand vehicles.

John Loyn has now become rude, aggressive and abusive to me as I am taking action to return the vehicle under the guidance of Trading Standards. Stratstone has been in business since 1921. That's nearly a century - almost as long as cars have been in existence! The Cardiff branch specializes in Lotus and Aston Martins, but can supply you with the car of your dreams, whatever the make, as long as you've got the cash to pay for it. This is very unlikely as far as I'm concerned, but every now and then I like to indulge in a spot of window shopping, just to keep abreast of how the 'other half' live. Something struck me as I peered through the pristine plate glass windows, scrunching my nose, with mouth agape, in that kind of none-comprehending questioning way that we tend to assume when the answer is straight in front of us, but we haven't quite figured it out yet... Stratstone have publicized the fact that they are in the market for second hand Lotus, up to five years old, which I simply thought might be a ploy to get people to trade in their old sports cars and buy a new one. But then it dawned on me... even the rich might be feeling the pinch! How about that?

Prices seem to be very competitive too: I live in Devon and the Freelander I bought from them was the cheapest (and nicest looking from the pics on their site) I could find on the net within reasonable travelling distance. Fortunately, everything about it was exactly as they said it would be and more than justified the trip from Devon to Cardiff.

The dissapointing thing was the product a BMW 318 2003 model 92,000 miles on the clock , At first everything seemed fine it passed its MOT just before the purchase. Great! First the radiator needed replacing about a week after purchase in all fairness Justin got this sorted asap and gave me a courtesy car at no cost to myself then I broke down and the xpansion tank had completley split years of damage had caused this. The RAC fitted a new tank albeit not properly and again Justin got this sorted for me. for the last 3 to 4 weeks the coolant warning light has constantly been on and I just cannot be bothered to call Hewson motors again! Like I say it is all well and good sorting the problem and providing good customer service but when you purchase a car you want realiability and faith that it will work properly so I am sorry but I would not reccomend this company to purchase a car. Customer service 8/10 product 2/10. I have since sold it and purchased a brand new vehicle.
