Like all human beings they don't expect to be ridiculed or defamed. My entire family appreciates what they do for my mother and would recommend this place to anyone interested. Ken M.

I'll be honest, it was a real adjustment moving from the hospital environment, to one that I have never experienced, so there were some bumps in the road - for the family to learn how to communicate best with the staff - and the staff to get to know us and my moms needs, but we are fortunate enough be able to be there often, and advocate for her. I have found the nursing and CNA staff to be compassionate, qualified, professionals overall. When I have felt that we had issues I didn't know how to resolve, the Administration was very willing to help us navigate the process and make any changes, or accommodations that they were able to. The Case Manager, the Physical Therapy staff, the nutritionists - seriously, everyone from the janitorial staff to the Administrator made me feel like my mother was safe, cared about, and physically rehabilitated to the best of her abilities. It absolutely helps the more the family can be involved to help their loved one get acclimated, and build the relationships with staff to help make the stay as productive and pleasant as possible under these circumstances. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in her care during her stay. You are just too many to name individually, but you know that I know who you are.

They have a social license but not a medical license. If you are independent, this is a lovely facility but if you need assistance, this is not the place to be. Their billing approach did not get them qualified for their long term health insurance to pay. At the facility we went to, because of the way they billed, it payed 100%.

I'm not here to spread rumors or lies just my opinion and the facts that I know. While working at Reflections I loved my job and and the company. Their mission and reasons for starting the company were something to be proud of. The owners had a family member with dementia and they seen how badly a new way of caring for it was needed and decided to become a role model in dementia care. Although the company is in the same family the personal connection to the hardship of dementia was lost when Reggie Phillips retired. A new wave of management then began -anyone who had been with the company in a management role for more that 5 years was fired without reason or given ultimatums that contradicted with the morals of caring for human beings. Recently ( I KNOW and I'm sure this info can be found as it was a state safety concern) the villas decides to TURN OFF and drain their sprinkler systems in multiple buildings including Reflections in Morton to prevent a leak and save money. This sprinkler system issue had been reported previously and instead of fixing it they risked the residents safety by turning off the sprinkler system. The safety, health, and wellness of the residents are no longer the priority of the Villas of Hollybrook and Reflections. This [ turning off sprinklers and risking resident safety ] is an example of the ultimatums that were given to long term management. I hope the company takes a long and hard look at what is best moving forward I feel that if they cannot care for the elderly especially with dementia with compassion, humanity and safety forward thinking they may need to reconsider their role in Healthcare as a whole (the business is owned and operated by a lumber company).

I have worked in Healthcare for years, and work as a nurse in the daytime. I left because of how undertrained, poorly managed, and unprofessional/rude these people are. They treat residents like price tags and act like doing their job is a chore. It seems nice at first, but I can assure you it is an illusion! The turnover rate is extremely high for a reason! They have 20-year-olds trying to be managers, who have ZERO management experience and use rumors and gossip to govern their decisions. Please save yourself the time, and do not send someone you care about here. I promise it's not worth it. You would think if a resident pays 3-4k a month to live here, that it would be organized and the staff would at least treat the patients with respect. My job will always be to put patients first, and they really, really don't do that here. Shame on this entire establishment. I am sick at how the residents were treated. I got yelled at for helping a resident when they approached me and asked for my assistance, instead of dusting a room not being used. I was told the resident was "too needy". There was a medical emergency on my second day on the job, and the other employees stood there clueless on how to handle it. Thankfully, I called 9-1-1 and assisted the resident and EMTS myself. As a healthcare professional, it is my duty to put all of my patients first, ALWAYS. This establishment is an absolute disgrace and I would never put a loved one here.
