Could easily be a four if they replaced all staff except bartenders.
The menu is excellent, traditional steakhouse with African flair, though it's not a white cloth establishment. I was torn between several items -- steaks, grilled chicken skewers -- and I chose the Peri Peri burger with a side of steamed veg. My friend had the salmon, which was excellent but the cous cous it sat on was tasteless without salt.
Decor is trendy, and it manages to be somewhat intimate without subjecting you to your neighbors' conversation.
As for the staff, it's a bit off-putting to be greeted by someone who looks like they haven't washed their uniform in three days, let alone their hair. Took 20 minutes to get someone's attention for the bill, and the chef looked like he was on the verge of having a Ramsey-style meltdown. read more
