I always pop into Charcoal when I'm at DFO with the hope that I'll find something and I always walk out disappointed. I think this persistence is because once I saw a fantastic dress that was cheap and my style and was a size too small. Therefore, logic tells me, there will be more brilliant, cool, hippy/punk stuff. Come on, Jess, hippy/punk isn't even a thing. I probably have my hopes set too high.
Regardless of the reasons of my still entering the premises, let's talk about what I find when I get there. Crap. Tacky, overpriced crap. It's as if the buyers or designers (or both) went out and deliberately chose the worst things about whichever season's fashion trends and brought them all together into a collection that should only ever be worn by runway models (because then weird stuff works). If I actually bought anything from here, I'd look cheap, I'd look fat in ill-fitting clothes, and I'd probably get a rash from all the polyester.
