I was in Charing Cross hospital (ED Department) Saturday 1st of February of 2025. I had to receive a blood transfusions for my several anaemic. For Just one unit of blood they made me wait more than 24 hours! I had to spend the night there, without any information, except.."you have to wait". Night doctors never came to see me, morning doctors on Sunday came to see me after 10;30 am. A procedure that normally takes 6pr 8 hours it took more than 1 day! There are no communication between that team!!!
I had to return on (13/02/2025),10 days late to the ED department at Charing Cross Hospital. After my horrific experience 2 weeks ago, and this time it was just as horrendous as the first time.
I arrived at 9:30 am. to get my second blood transfusion that my doctor sent me 2 days ago. After having waited for 6 hours, a doctor came to told me, in the middle of the hallway, that they didn't think I was needed another transfusion, so he was very sorry but I had to go home. And I told him, "after having me waiting 6 hours, that I am here because my doctor told me two days ago that I needed another transfusion, because my anemic. You don't even ask me routinary questions about how I feel. and you tell me, you just think that I do not need it?
And He answered me, very calmly, yes I'm sorry, we can't do anything! I have been treated in public hospitals my whole life. I have even been treated in this hospital many times, and always was fine.
But the ED service in Emergency department, is the worst I have seen in my life, those people do not communicate with each other, they make you wait for hours for everything, they have almost no communication with the patient, and the only two times I was there I felt that they gave me very careless treatment. read more
