    Salmon plate rice and veggies
    James R.

Absolutely love the owner/grandma this evening. She is very sweet. Food was very fresh. (I'm always skeptical to order salmon from small mom and pop shops). However, the flavor did not disappoint. Rice was nice and sticky (I appreciated it). Not overly sauced. Ordered the plate and came with veggies. They were cooked freshly and were tasty. All in all would return. Happy spot on the way from Phx to San Diego

Teriyaki chicken bowl. Not worth the wait.

Sorry fellow Yelpers, I'm not feelin' this spot even though most of you are raving about it. I'm an incredibly positive person, so I will start with what was good. The chicken seemed high quality and the woman running the place was friendly. See how positive I am? I should write motivational posters for a living. Hang in there you silly cat! Now the truth. Portions are small, the flavors are bland and the wait time might kill you. How is teriyaki sauce flavorless? There was a woman who came in just after me and had called in her order so she wouldn't have to wait. She was still sitting there waiting after I got my food. I waited at least 15 minutes. We were the only 2 people there. If I were her I would have turned into the hulk and ripped the place apart. You know, if the hulk was passive aggressive and just wrote unflattering Yelp reviews. I get that they are trying here, but them trying doesn't necessarily make it a good experience. It's just all kind of a mess. The place is run down, the food wasn't particularly good, the wait wasn't lose to worth it. When I finish a meal really wishing I hadn't bothered, it's not going to get more than 2 stars from me. You've been warned.

Small spot in a strip mall. The food is very well cooked but that means it takes a bit longer to get your order so don't be in a hurry. Had the salmon plate with salad. Salmon. Cooked well but a bit on the thin side. Salad was crisp and fresh with a vinegrette dressing. Also had the chicken and beef bowl. Chicken was good but the beef had no flavor was not that appetizing. Added avocado, it was good not over ripe. Still, i would go back and try more plates. Just don't be in a hurry.

Really tasty food!! Had the salmon & shrimp plate. Came with a pretty salad. Everything was cooked to perfection with fantastic flavors. Only issue we had was having to wait a while as only one man was working. Great for ordering to go though.

Chicken and Beef Combo with Steamed Vegetables

The restaurant is owned by a Korean family where they mainly serve teriyaki dishes, along with Kimchi, bulgogi, and yakisoba. I ordered chicken and beef combination platter with steamed vegetables. The beef was super dry with the texture was closer to being jerky, instead of tender meat. However, the chicken was delicious and had a lot of flavor. My friend ordered the bulgogi and it was delicious with japchae noodles. It's a small restaurant with four to five tables available for seating. The staff/owner is super sweet and welcoming!

Craving a light, bright meal and impressed with the Yelp reviews, I found myself here as I was passing through Yuma. It's a wonderful divorce from deep-fried trauma foods. The space is inconspicuous. Located in a decades old strip mall, it is nondescript. The same goes for the interior. With only four tables, a ceiling fan and water cooler in the back, the place lacks any kind of discernible personality. That is, until you get a chance to enjoy the food. Menu items are priced at $10 and below, which is both welcome and shocking given the freshness and flavor and serving sizes. The salmon and shrimp combo will likely be the thing that I crave while passing through Yuma in the future. Served with teriyaki sauce, but not drowning in it, the salmon is rich and soft. The four shrimps are served on skewers atop the salmon. The combo comes with a decent size salad. The Romain butts were no fun, but I especially love the house made dressing, which is a beautiful blend of garlic and ginger. I recommend a visit.

    They also have vegetarian options.

Food was fine for the price but I would not recommend eating at the location, the place needs lots of cleaning.

One person running the entire place. Food took 26 minutes to arrive and was "okay." Dining area could use a good cleaning.

The restaurant was busy, but our waiter was very attentive throughout our visit. I was able to substitute the fried shrimp in my bento box for egg rolls without any issues. The bento box also included breaded zucchini and a carrot slice. As our meals were being served, the carrot slice accidentally fell onto the table. Our waiter immediately apologized and brought me a replacement. The food was flavorful, fresh, and served in generous portions--we even had leftovers to take home. Before leaving, we stopped by the store and picked up a few desserts to enjoy later. The restrooms were clean, the dining room was comfortable without being overly cold, and the large screens throughout the restaurant made it a great place to catch a game while dining. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning to try more dishes from the menu.

Large serving! But reminded me of instant ramen, coincidentally a Korean mini-market shares the property. Broth and toppings were tasty but the noodles felt underpar compared to a ramen shop. -Dinner Bento Box (Beef Bulgogi). Standard bento box. Bulgogi had broccoli in it. Eggroll felt like it was frozen due to the doughy inside. -Sushi roll that I forgot what we ordered but it was good. -Sauces were available and variety of choices for your taste. -Overall a good experience. Recommend removing "Japanese food" from advertizements and keep it as Korean. I think the word Gozen is Japanese. I would like to return for: -The large Korean food options -The flavor and quality of the sashimi -But not for the ramen

Ah-So, ahhh so good!…read more My favorite restaurant for teppanyaki and sushi! Love that you don't have to wait long for teppanyaki. Their teppanyaki tables are not that large so they're perfect for groups! Their sushi is also fresh and they have a good variety. My favorite is their Seared Salmony Belly sushi, Ikura sushi, and Yellowtail with Scallion Roll. Love that they have a lychee martini cocktail now! It was really good! Our server Nicolas was great too. He was wearing a lot of hats and still attentive.

As a patron who has supported Ah-So for years, I have always been a silent supporter--even during previous visits where the service was subpar, I chose to remain patient because we valued your establishment. However, tonight's experience from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM was a level of failure that I cannot stay silent about. Tonight was my daughter's birthday. We came to your restaurant to celebrate, but instead, we spent three hours navigating an ordeal of neglect: Total lack of urgency, we sat for over an hour before our existence was even acknowledged for drink or food orders. This isn't just "slow service"; it is a total breakdown of floor management. The birthday disappointment, my daughter was incredibly excited about the traditional birthday well-wishes. Despite being promised this by the staff, and despite other tables receiving attention, she was completely ignored. To make matters worse, the other party sharing our grill--who was also celebrating a birthday--was similarly forgotten. Watching the excitement fade from a child's face on her birthday is something a parent doesn't easily forget. Service incompetence, when food finally arrived, it was incorrect, requiring further delays. To end the night, we waited another 30 minutes for a check that never came. Both parties at our grill eventually had to physically stand up and hunt down a staff member just to pay our bill so we could finally leave. Dismissive management, when I attempted to voice these concerns to the manager, the response was cold and unhelpful. There was no attempt to validate our experience or acknowledge the disappointment caused to a loyal, long-term customer. I want to be very clear: I am not seeking a refund, a discount, or a gift card. I am writing this because I want to be heard. Tonight, Ah-So didn't just serve a bad meal; you turned a young girl's birthday celebration into a three-hour lesson in being ignored. As a regular customer, I am deeply saddened by the lack of care shown tonight. I hope this letter serves as a wake-up call for your team to return to the standards that made us loyal to you in the first place.
