We can find something fun here to do always although it's a library. They have a website that you can go on to see the library activities and it's for most of the libraries in the woodlands area. As with all libraries they have different sections for each age groups, downstairs is for the young kids and pre teens and upstairs is for older and adults. They have sitting areas in the lobby where we'll have our snacks. We come here on school holidays and days off to chill and relax read a few books and play. The toddlers love it here, with the play kitchen and mats with blocks and puzzles. They also have baby dolls and cribs for them to play and interact. Adequate seating area for parents to watch their kids and even to grab a book and read while they play. For me it's half hour away from home but it's always worth the drive.

Meador Library checked all those boxes. After doing a bit of research online, we decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. Our son read over six books during our hour and a half visit (a personal record!), and when he needed a break, there were plenty of fun options to keep him engaged--coloring stations, computer games, and even a few toys to play with. It's been quite a while since I personally spent time in a library, and I have to say this experience reminded me why libraries are such gems in the community. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was peaceful, and it was just the right size--not overwhelming but still full of options. Pros: Great location, convenient hours, friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, and the perfect size for families. Cons: Some areas feel a bit outdated, and it seems a few visitors use it more like a daycare or indoor play spot than a library. Overall, a solid 4-star experience. We'll definitely be back soon for another relaxing afternoon of books, learning, and family time.

I was fortunate to be in the vicinity of Willis and this library branch. I was here for over two hours time morning at a somewhat comfortable table where I powered up both laptops and spent some time connected to work on VPN. The library was peaceful and quiet, the wifi worked very well and I had a very pleasant visit. While you do need to be a resident and have a library card to check out materials, anyone is welcome to use the facility, resident or otherwise. Awesome. One of the very first things we did after we moved to the area was to stop by and get a library…read morecard. We received nothing but excellent service while here. The lady who helped us with our card was very kind to explain all libraries we have access to, including Harris County Libraries as well as digital access through Libby and Overdrive. Like other libraries, you can access your account online and from there select titles to pickup at the library. If they don't have it available, they transfer between libraries and send an email when your materials are ready to be picked up. They also self renew. The library has a large variety of books to choose from. I did, however, found their Children's selection to be a bit small. They have movies and plenty of audio books. I'm still not familiar with everything else that they offer, but I did find a calendar on their website with listed summer activities for kids and adults as well. A suggestion for them would be to try and add those events into their Facebook page events. It seems their Facebook page is not very active. Other than that, very pleased with this location.

I honestly wasn't even going to leave a review but i think it's a learning moment for the…read moreadministration side of the library. I've been here two times, first time was great because i wasn't approached by anyone i guess. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful. Second time back yesterday, my son and i played quietly for an hour on the puzzle carpet, he had been hearing kids play in a room close to the bathrooms, he asked to play with the kids so we walked over there together and i stood right at the door way watching him, two min go by and the other boys in the room are still loud, my son who just got in that room, was yelled at along with the other boys by the librarian. Now i understand it's a library but these are toddlers. You should've talked to the parents who were sitting right there watching their kids be loud. While i agree its their parents duty i didn't say anything because i know my son was not yelling at all. So I kept quiet, a couple minutes later i walk my son to the bathroom to blow his nose where i had the door open to the hallway, i had just thanked him for being such a quiet kid in the library and have fun playing when we get back. On the way out of the bathroom a white woman in a black shirt, lanyard, shirt bob haircut walks past us, she proceeds to follow me back to the toy room and immediately as I'm trying to back up just to stand to watch my son again, she rudely says to me "you NEED to watch your son" so i turned around and said excuse me because she didn't introduce herself, my back was turned to her, I've never spoken to her before or seen her, and she follows up to tell me i can't be leaving my child unattended. So i immediately stop her and say i don't, he's always with me. She tries to tell me well earlier i saw you, i interrupt her there, because NO, you didn't see me without my kid. I tell her "NO YOU DIDN'T, i stay with my child." And all she says is oh okay then walks away. I have no idea who you are lady but that's not how to approach people. Especially when your asking question to someone for the first time. Don't assume because my Mexican kid and i are around all these other white families that's it's MY child that's acting up unattended. If you heard something about an unattended child, do your due diligence first before barking orders at the wrong one. I will not be coming back here and that's such a shame because the library is great. The admin staff?? You all need to be retrained on how to deal with people. You're lucky my kid was with me. Do better next time lady.

My kids and I seen the food and drink machines and took a break and enjoyed the outside view as we ate our chips and drank our juice. It was renovated a few years back, creating a lasting sense of newness in the building. Most books are labeled by genre in their respective sections. Staff is super friendly and always helpful. Plenty of areas for studying and privacy. The public computers are easily accessible. Beautiful library cards that are redesigned each year. Definitely the perfect place to expand your mental bookshelf or rediscovering your lost love of reading.

Carolyn helped us get that done super quick, and she was very pleasant and friendly. The membership was free and all that was required was a photo I'd proving our Texas residence. They had a good number of computers available, and each document cost 25 cents to print. I didn't explore much, but from where we were sitting but I could see a good size kids library area, several private rooms for studying or media use. They aren't huge as far as book selection, but they had a lot to choose from. They also have a DVD section and an audiobook section. Also there is a nice looking covered porch area with tables and chairs. It would be nice to sit out there during cooler weather.
