I've had a Schwab Bank for some time and it's easy to bank with and invest. The only thing I would say could be better is transferring to my Brokerage should show right away if I transfer cash from my checking even if I do the trans late at night. read more

1/22/2022 I won't give a single star to this bank who from 2018 keep making non stop errors. I generally call the bank to ask simple basic questions and all the time I received wrong information. If I call a second and a third time, I will get a different answer for the same issue. The staff and even the Supervisor are not at all qualified and skilled enough to provide good professional service. Today I was on the phone from 2h00 pm to 10h00 pm (8 hrs) and spoke to 13 persons. Only because the first employee called Colin made a mistake, I did not want to give up lodging a complaint and report him to his superiors. I wrote down all the names of the people I spoke to, Supervisors included, and how long I was on the phone. It is a disaster! I plan to write a letter and mailed/fax addressed to the the President to share my experience. The people I spoke was too lazy to spell correctly their own names and provide the name of the CEO and President. Unbelievable from a bank! Yes i got a mere insignificant compensation of $75.00 for my 8 hrs glued on the phone but that was not what I was looking this morning when I woke up. I never imagined that my Saturday day would start that way and would last harshly 8 hrs. I would highly recommend you to call twice the bank and ask at least the same questions more than once. this should be criminal On 3/6/23 I sold a large brokered cd. Schwab found a buyer who made an offer I accepted and Schwab marked the transaction filled and placed the money in my account. It remained there till after business hours that day. I looked at my account about 8pm and the money was removed and the cd was put back. Over the next two days Schwab agents kept telling me a transaction never took place. Only when I told them I have a screenshot of the transaction did anyone take me seriously. Over the course of that day the market reversed and the price of the cd dropped. It appears the person who bought the cd somehow was able to negate the sale. I wish I had that ability to negate a losing trade. It appears some people do! The agent said I could sell it again for 7 thousand less then I sold it for the day before. When the money was put in my account I had the ability to make other transactions which I did. I am a senior citizen, this is my retirement money. This is a horrible thing that schwab has let happen. read more
