They have an extensive selection of shirts, patterns with collar choices & an easy to navigate website. In addition to the shirts what really impressed me was the service. Calls were answered promptly and the agents were knowledgeable and helpful. I made a mistake on size for one of my shirts. No problem as they just made their return/exchange process much easier (& it was). The Classic fit is close to what I'm used to here in the states and I would say ran slightly smaller which was fine with me as at times the shirts from other retailers can be baggy which CT's weren't (without having to go to slim fit). Excellent customer service! It's really hard for my husband to find dress shirts. He has broad shoulders but a skinny waist line so when he tucks his shirt in it looks baggy. With COVID stores are all closed but we live in the US anyways so we wouldn't be able to travel there. So online was a great option for us. We had to place 3 different orders before we got the right fit since this was our first time ordering these dress shirts. Customer service helped us find the right ones for us. They were very patient with us and provided free shipping and free return labels every time which we were very grateful for! The quality feels great nice and thick. For my husband, this was a nice change of pace from the Land's End and L.L. Bean catalogs (Hubby has little time or interest in visiting a storefront.). Something for US men to note: UK gentlemen have a few different norms, such as no-pocket standard; but that is easily remedied with another $8 charge to have one added. We also noticed, although we were careful to order twill (thicker) shirts, that the fabric from CT seems a bit thinner than what my husband is accustomed to; in fact, I wonder if that is one reason US men prefer chest pockets? I ducked into the Chucky T flagship Jermyn Street store. I was looking for a dress shirt, just not sure what I wanted and did not want generic solid blue or white. Their shirts are reasonable priced, very good quality and they have a variety of fits, so this is one of my go-to places for shirts. The staff was very helpful in my find a fit as I like a slim fit shirt. Also, since they have a very wide selection, I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. This store not only has shirts, but also a wide selection of ties and sweaters (jumpers, as you Brits call them). Their ties are pretty solid terms of quality. I should have read the reviews before entering into a transaction with this company. Dozens of allegations of very bad business practices. Personally, I was sucked into the promotion of 3 Sport Shirts for $89.00 seen on Facebook multiple times. The package arrived posted from London, England and contained two of the ordered three shirts. I ordered the size I have ordered for years and it simply didn't fit. "Easy Return & Exchange" policy NOT. I wanted to exchange both shirts for the next size up and the response was no longer in stock. OK give me a refund as my gut started telling me to get out of this transaction. My two shirts were totaling $89.61 as the third shirt was back ordered and not yet charged. Gee I thought, it was 3 for $89. Discovered they charged me $19.21 for "Shipping & Handling" which if clearly stated I would not have completed the transaction. Wrote back to them AGAIN and they credited me for the two shirt but refused to return the shipping and handling. Net loss basically $20.00 and lesson learned. Funny enough, I got to know about this London shop through a catalogue in a German magazine. I was about to throw away all the ads that came with the issue, and then read that this brand is based in London. As the offers looked good, I decided to check out their main store. Charles Tyrwhitt in Jermyn Street has a broad selection of shirts, in different styles and sizes. The shop is clearly structured and it is easy to find what you need. I was not sure about the arm length, so asked one of the staff if he could help. He measured my arm and then brought some extra slim fit, slim fit and classic fit shirts to try on, so I could see which style and size I need. Great customer service. I wanted to take advantage of their special offer for four shirts, so I was also looking for another casual shirt. Unfortunately they did not have my size on display. After I waited a for few minutes while a very friendly and cute store attendant checked if they have it in store somewhere, she explained that they currently do not have my size in this branch, but they would send it to me without any costs. So I bought it without trying it on and received the mail order item two days later. In the past couple of years I have ordered shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt (delivered from England to the USA). They often have a $39.50 per shirt special. Shipping for orders under $100 is $14.95 and only $9.95 for over $100 (not bad). It is around a 10 day turn-a-round. I will usually order 3 or 4 at a time when they have a sale. I think the quality is very good. (similar to T.M.Lewin). The slim-fit shirts fit me perfectly (better than Brooks Brothers fit). I haven't tried any of the ties yet but I like what I see. It was nice to stop in the brick-n-mortar during our trip to London. The staff is very friendly & professional. I didn't buy anything on my visit but will continue to be a customers as long as they stay consistent in quality and pricing. The best way to describe the selection is Brooks Brothers fit and quality, with Thomas Pink style. If you shop them online regularly, you can almost always purchase during a $39-$49 per shirt deal, and that is remarkable. Thomas pink shirts will coat you three times that. And the extra-slim shirts fit me beautifully -- like custom. So I was delighted to walk right by this store in London recently. Tyrwitt is one of those brands that manage to offer the exemplary quality and sophisticated designs in their clothing, but at much reduced value comparing to the high end labels. Indeed, it is a relatively new company, having originated in 1986 as a mail order business, and therefore lacks the upmarket exclusivity of the English rivals like Burberry or Dunhill. Although I'm not one of their regular clients, I'm very happy with the shirts and a sweater I bought from them a couple of years ago. The cotton material remained almost as soft as originally and the garments didn't lose colour firmness after many washes. Their prices are also particularly appealing, presenting opportunities to buy top of the line shirts for £40 - 60 and even cheaper during sale time. The staff (except at sale time when they are run off their feet) are efficient and friendly. Shirts here are not as cheap as on their website, but are truly of tip-top quality. Seems as if the fabric is not a high quality because I even tried going up a size in sleeve length and the shirts still ripped at the elbow. It was my first and regrettably last time in Charles Tyrwhitt store. I went to Lime Street branch. It was 6pm and the store was empty. As soon as I entered the store the customer service assistant has jumped up in front of me like a bouncer, did not like that at all! What's the point of asking me if I needed any help if I didn't even have a second to look around? I also didn't like his pretentious attitude when he started visually examining me from head to toe! Some stores are annoying and suffocating and Charles Tyrwhitt Lime Street is one of them. A significant male employee chose to ignore my husband and I whilst having his eyes peeled on us the whole time. It made us feel extremely uncomfortable.
