Exam room was more of the same. Then the doctor comes in, an older gentleman but very rude. He basically mocked me for saying I would not be using insurance but paying cash. Since when is cash a problem? He kept repeating that the hospital may need extra time to deal with a cash pay. Then I explain my medical need and he says I need to have an organ removed. I explained I didn't want to remove it, just repair it and he not so subtly told me I was ignorant. I am not ignorant, I simply cant lose ANOTHER organ. Then he questioned my medical history..I have the scar, CD's, surgery reports and other data to prove what I told him, why would I lie? I left, worst visit ever. To his credit he did not charge me for the visit.
