I feel so lucky I found this beautiful candle holder that's going to look amazing in my house. Thank you for your outstanding customer service and for the amazing deals. Make sure to stop by if I'm town or visiting this place is amazing there's 3 floors and it's smells so welcoming!!

This place has a pretty good blend of cool items. They have some antiques, some collectibles, some decorative items, and other oddities. They have booths throughout the building that are individually stocked and priced by vendors. The store has a vintage atmosphere. They play retro music that sets the mood for perusing the shelves stocked with items from years past. You will see many things that you recognize from the past. We enjoyed out time there.

Have been coming to this place every year on my trip from the west coast for 20 years. Very organized and clean place. Some dealers have been here a long time as I remember some of the locations and items year after year. I love consistency. I have purchased very little here and the prices are on the high side but I really enjoy this store. Friendly people working here today as well.

Lots of interesting tchotchkis and crafty items to look at, at mostly reasonable prices. Sort of…read morean upscale craft / flea market that takes up about half the deceptively large building. The other half is the true salvage business and it is impressively robust. The folks at the front were friendly and the wood stove was very welcome on this warm day. It's a great place to take out of town guests. Fun to find items you didn't know you needed but can't leave without. And maybe a spare window frame or old bar top as well.

We have watched several episodes of the show and have wanted to visit for quite a while. We love…read morethe industrial feel of most salvage items and have a desire to preserve the past and honor the history and stories of these items. We planned to arrive early on Sunday afternoon after confirming their hours. The parking lot was large enough to accommodate the number of visitors and we found a spot and began walking around the exterior to check things out. There was a food truck in parking lot which we did not check out because we just had breakfast at Scratch Biscuit Company up the road. They also have a small amphitheater out side where it appears they do events. The entry to the amphitheater has some of their salvage from the Capital Center in Landover, MD. Michael, one of the employees saw us walking toward the back yard and we began to chat. He was friendly and accommodating and told us a few things about some ironwork recently salvaged from the Piedmont Triad which is our home. He also gave us a few tips on navigating the interior. We made our way inside and were blown away by the sheer number of items. The store appears to be very well organized and arranged with designated areas for items such as doors, windows , plumbing, electrical and hardware. Mixed amongst each space are salvaged items from all over the world. We thought the majority of the prices were reasonable considering the amount of time, effort, and money that is required to secure the items. We also learned that a good portion of the building is designated for various people to setup consignment spaces showcasing their treasures for sale. We once again ran into Michael and he asked us if we had a few minutes. We were happy to tag along side him while he pointed out some very cool hand carved pieces from India and Egypt. We really enjoyed our conversation and appreciated Michael's love and enthusiasm for vintage pieces. It was fun to talk with someone who appreciates the craftsmanship and history of pieces. Black Dog also features a good amount of swag items which will be fun to look back and remember our time in Roanoke. Awesome experience!
