I love this place! Its on a busy corner, yet remarkably not bothered by the amounts of traffic roaring outside. If you do plan to go at night, expect to be shot in the eyes by the lights of oncoming traffic crossing at the lights. A hazard the restaurant cannot really change except with the direction people face.
The food is amazing and well prepared, the spices are delicious and the bread is divine! We even lashed out and got the Alcoholic Lassi - which is Mango Lassi with Vodka. Yum!
They do wonderful food, however, we appear to have been there when the boss brought his family in. We know this because he kept looking at our table, and when my housemate's hot drink came, he was doing some serious eye-balling of it before he went up and spoke to the serving staff. Which brought on some staring from them as well. Now, I'm all for sneakily looking at other people, but when people are obviously looking and staring, it just is not so fun! We asked on leaving if the man was the owner, and they agreed, but wouldn't state what happened with the hot drink! We still think it was weird...
Aside from our weird encounter with the boss, we still love going to our local Indian place up the road, and the food is still amazing as ever. Maybe one day we'll find out what ever happened to the drink read more
