Great food!! Excellent service!!. They have a nice selection of burgers and chicken sandwiches. My husband ordered fish taco and said they were good. I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich. It was really good but the chicken doesn't quite fit on the square bun. It was spicy but I did not taste the sweet. My daughter got a double cheese burger which she said was really good. It is a small place it had 5 or 6 tables. They served fountain soda and you could also get a cold beer in bottles/cans/draft. read more

We stopped by Chase the Taste on a Friday at 5:30ish. It wasn't as busy as we expected it to be and we were able to easily grab a seat. You order at the register in the front and then grab a seat. The restaurant itself was clean and the staff was welcoming. The food came out quickly. I had the carne asada fries, which were absolutely delicious! Their fry seasoning is really unique and has a vinegar taste. Overall, we really enjoyed this casual restaurant and will likely be back. Can't wait to try one of their burgers next time! read more

I am sure the burgers are good sometimes but someone needs to tell the cooks who worked today 7/31 at 530 pm to stop adding a pound of salt to the food. Nothing is worse than a cook who over salts the burgers. Disgusting! Fries were soggy as well. I even if the food wasn't over salted there is nothing special about this place. read more

The name makes sense! Their flavors were bold, unique without being odd, and will keep me coming back for more. We both got the fish tacos. Fish was fried perfectly and we loved the toppings! The sauce, pisco, onions added to the fish instead of making the fried goodness. Could have been spicier, so we added some torreados. Easy fix. They should probably think about doing table service instead of waiting in line. We stood in line (only behind 4 people) for over 20 min. But I will say the guys working were helpful, friendly, and made the line wait feel less annoying once we finally got to order. There was a good beer selection for such a small space and we really enjoyed our lunch! read more

I wanted a green chili burger while I was in town and my plan was to stop at whataburger. I'm so glad I stopped here instead! I had their green chili burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was so good! Juicy, cheesy, "chili-y". Mmmmmm... The sweet potato fries were also delicious and came with a sweet dipping sauce. They have an option to get your burger lettuce wrapped instead of on a bun, too. A couple of my coworkers got the tacos and they looked great. The tacos were definitely stuffed to the max. The salads looked good, too. We came here in a fairly large group (8) during lunch time. Everyone else seemed to be on a timed lunch too because we didn't have to wait long to be able to put a few tables together. If you are on the northeast side of El Paso Chase the Taste is a perfect stop! I got the green chile burger with sweet potato fries and everything was amazing! The burger is flame broiled and served medium well. The sweet potato fries come with a crack dipping sauce that consists of some kind of frosting/icing with cinnamon. Coming during lunch? Try to get there a little before 12pm because they have a pretty busy lunch hour and the smaller restaurant size is can't handle large crowds.  They host taco Tuesdays (with Korean tacos that look awesome) and cheesesteak Thursdays! They also carry vegan burgers and gluten free buns, along with a ton of local brews. Happy hour goes from 3-5pm M-F. Will definitely be going back! read more

You know the Drill, you're in a New Place (just opened) and you Order, hoping it's merely good and then you bite into your Burger, your Eyes FLY open, your Tongue Launches and you think that maybe, just maybe you've just seen God? During COVID Chase the Taste rose to the occasion and quickly adapted to life during the pandemic. Their quality never wavered while they found a way to adapt to the changing times. Several times we ordered ahead for curbside service. Food was always done when we arrived and their dedication to customers was always on par. This place used to be in the northeast. They are in the substation off Doniphan. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the double patty burger. It was one of the best lunches I have had in 2024. Randy the owner and his server Victoria were super helpful in guiding our choices, because honestly everything looks good! I highly recommend this for a quick lunch that is delicious! Love and love this place. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Great draft beer selections. The sandwiches, desserts, and fries are delicious. Quick and friendly service. For instance, I was there with my infant son, and the cook assisted me by warming up his bottle in the kitchen. There is a baby changing station in the women's restroom only. Great addition to the North East side of El Paso. Located in North Hills Crossing, this little gem of a business is a great place to enjoy a meal. My girlfriend and I met up with a few buddies that just moved out to El Paso from San Diego and we suggested meeting up here. I'm so glad we did. The staff was friendly and willing to help. Water is self service which makes things easier as well. There is beer on tap and in bottles, so it's good to ask for clarification when ordering. I went with a Cholo Stout from Marble Brewing (NM) which was roasty, and hoppy. I actually liked it a lot as I'm not usually a hoppy stout guy. I'd get it again. For my meal, I ordered the smoked pulled pork sandwich ($8.25) and substituted a side salad for a dollar more. Good sandwich. The pulled pork was sauced well and tasted great with a slightly smokey taste, which paired well with my beer. The salad was good too and the croutons were bits of delicious crunch. My girlfriend got the fish tacos ($8.00) and substituted the same side salad as well. The fish was beer battered but not overdone. The batter to fish ratio was spot on. It was seasoned nicely as well and was nice and warm too. They had a few TV's with football on as well. Our friends really enjoyed their meal as well. Today, I was supposed to hit up the elusive @orangecowburgers (closed on Mondays) Yes I know it's Friday... but after I picked my daughter up after my slumber, I had a a sign from the Burger God. I was driving down Saul Kleinfeld with the intention of hitting the loop to Transmountain, when I saw "Chase Greatness" on the back of a truck. Next to it was a 49ers logo and a "Trukiando" sticker, so take the sign with grain of salt. Anyways, with that sticker came the thought of @chase_the_taste_ep Which I know isn't part of the west side and I'm doing the west side burger tour. But... maybe this is a stretch but they recently announced they're opening up a west side location. So within technicalities, it's also a west side burger joint. And let's be honest, there isn't a lot of burger joints in the Noeast. (Send suggestions). I went in and immediately asked what the OG Borracho Burger was, and was given an answer with too many ingredients. I keep it simple sizzle. Went with the Green Chile Cheeseburger. Nice soft bun. Possibly a brioche bun. Hatch green chile. Grilled onions. Cheddar and American cheese. Tomato. Special sauce, that I suspect is chipotle based mayo. Patties had a nice flavor. The seasoning was on point. Wasn't too salty. My only point deduction was that the bottom bun was soggy. I ate it in the truck immediately after getting in it. Maybe the tomato and mayo on the bottom sogged it up. Overall it met every expectation I had. I've had numerous people suggest I come review the joint. First off, the staff here are amazing! They are very friendly and willing to help customize your order, answer questions, and greet you with a warm welcome. I thoroughly enjoy this place for a hearty dinner that doesn't make me feel disgustingly full after. I am a creature of habit and limited by health concerns (allergic to yeast) and I get the Fish Tacos with Sweet Potato fries every time. My husband orders the Green Chile burger almost every time because it is that good! We visit the restaurant at least 2-3 times a week. Very decent portions for the price, but they could add more fries if Sweet Potato fries are +$1. A meal out at Chase the Taste with my husband costs us around $25 with tax and tip. Super good food! Downside is it's a smaller space so seating can be limited if you get there at a busy time. My only food complaint is minor: I wish they had non-seasoned fries for kids because my 4 yr old didn't dig the Tajin.... buuuut she liked my sweet potato fries so lesson learned for next time! First time trying this place out and I must say that the quality of the burger is what I expected. The meat is nicely cooked yet it is still very juicy and rich in flavor. They are decently priced for the size of the meal. (Doesn't include the drink). I was a little saddened by the carne asada fries because they aren't your typical carne asada fries. Being from the West coast these are drastically different from what I am used too. The place is very clean, kid friendly, and the atmosphere is simple yet trendy. We received excellent service from the person who took our order. If you want to try a good decent burger in El Paso, I recommend it. I will be back to try out their other burgers. read more

Holy amaze balls Batman! This place right here! Absolutely everything you taste is jam packed with delicious and amazing flavors! Even their simple cheeseburger order has such a way with their fresh tasting beef patty, cheese, and dressing. My husband is unofficially a connoisseur of cheeseburgers and good lord is he hooked to theirs! That in itself is remarkable! As for myself, i cant resist trying something new every time we have come here. Lets put it this way... We have gone here at least 3 times within a week of first trying it. Lol! Its just too darn good not to! Ive had their beer battered fish tacos, chipotle bbq chicken sandwich, and their special for the day, the Cubano. All. So. Delicious! And i always get their sweet potato fries because they somehow know how to make them perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which i just cannot resist! And they serve sweet potatoe fries with this marshmellow dip that makes it taste like thanksgiving. Divine! My husband always gets the regular fries with Tajin, and we absolutely love it! As if you're not convinced yet after reading all the other 5 star reviews, you have to try their burgers! And I'm not even a burger gal. My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Saturday night and ordered fish tacos and a green Chile burger with sweet potato fries. I preferred the burger and I only had a bite of it. The fish in the tacos had too much batter for my liking so one taco filled me up. But nonetheless, it was still delicious and the sauce drizzled on top was a definite plus for me. My boyfriend thought the burger was too small for him but you can always double patty for $2.50. Service was fast, after ordering we waited about 10 min or so. Although not on the menu, they also had desserts on the front counter; chocolate cake and carrot cake. Both looked promising but we were too full to try them. read more

The OG burger was one of the best I've ever had, so many flavors and all so great. The seasoned regular fries are super legit, excellent mix of spices. Legit, small, but hidden. Minus the age of technology and you may never know Chase the Taste exists. That is really too bad too because it is worth the recognition. Coming from NM I often have my interest peaked by green chile cheeseburgers. I always ask the heat level because a good tongue tingle is necessary for a green chile cheeseburger. To my dismay their green chile was not spicy However, the very pleasant young lady receiving my order quickly made the recommendation of adding jalapeño. To my surprise and satisfaction the kitchen did not add raw jalapeño to my burger. They grilled it and brought out all that heat and flavor out of it. Brilliant! It certainly made the burger pop. Also, the patty was fresh and flavorful. I think most times our brains aree conditioned to be okay with pre-made sometimes frozen patties. Not here. It was the middle of the day, so we could not responsibly take part in pairing our meals with any of the beers they had on tap. It's such a small place that seeing beers on tap was a surprise. They did not have sorry generic light beers either. They had fun flavor craft beers from what I could tell. This place could easily champion burgers and beer. If this is a starter establishment good for them. It will make for a good story if they progress into something near a campus, or downtown. The fifth star is looming. read more

Been here twice. Good burger both times - I got a western one the first time, green chili the second time. Some great burgers are smashed patty style, others are charcoal grilled style... these are just solid flat grill burgers. Like 5 guys, but with a much broader selection of toppings. Seasoned fries are great - have something like Tajin on them. Sweet potato fries are nice too. Good beer selection. Space is small and chill. Definitely not hungry after either meal, think I might have actually taken a post-burger nap both times. Parking is right out front, and it's in a shopping center so plenty of other places to park if you need it. Support local business, get more burgers in your life, eat here. read more

Been to this place about 4 times. The green chili burger is good and the seasoned fries are yummy too...it tastes like they put tajin on them. It tastes like a homemade burger. Patty is on the thin side though. Only thing is when they opened their prices were great and last time i went they had raised em a bit. I feel like this place is kind of like a hidden gem, hole in the wall, etc. A friend asked if I had been and when I responded no, she stated it was a must! We arrived and it was pretty dead.
