Energetic atmosphere and louder than I'm used to (getting old here..lol) - Jambalaya (mild) added soft shell crab 3/5. Good portion but it was lacking seasoning on the ingredients. The sauce took over the dish and odd that was served on a flat plate. -16 oz Rib Eye 4/5 Good meat! Mashed potatoes and vegetables was nicely done with good texture. Great portion! I've only been here once and I don't really care for the seafood boils. That fried catfish however, next level. Portions were huge, and fried to perfection. Came in on Friday for the $ oysters. I ended up getting 6 bar-b-que. They were quite large which was nice, but they were chewy to the point I had to spit out a bite for each oyster. The flavor was okay. I also ordered short ribs w garlic noodles to go for my husband. The ribs flavor was amazing, the noodles were also really good, although the serving size was quite small (considering they were noodles). The short ribs despite the amazing flavor were kinda disappointing because they were also chewy. I also had a few bites of calamari and that was good with the dipping sauce they provided. Whether we come here for seafood boil or their other main entrees/dishes. Food is always a hit!! Tasty and huge portions. Service is fairly quick and the workers are pretty attentive. It's a bit chaotic for dinner hours and or on the weekends. It gives a sport bar vibe even though they serve nice dinner plates. They have multiple tvs, and a bar. Seating options are high tables, regular tables, or booths, and even outdoor seating when weather permits it. First time I visited as a friend recommended it. Upon arrival they had a nice crowd inside. We were seated ordered 2 drinks 1 fish and chips. And 1 short rib plate with garlic noodles. Food came out in a strange order fish first 2nd wings 3rd ribs which took a long time. Wings were cold and had so much sauce it was unbearable they could have dressed 20 wings in those 5 wings. Lemon pepper was fine but cold. My short ribs had a good taste but very small portion. And they were ice cold like they forgot my plate in the window. Definitely could have got a huge plate for almost half price at hawiann bbq. Garlic noodles were so so so so soggy and swollen also ice cold had a horrible gummy texture almost slimy. We called over the waiter and asked for new noodles same issue it's like they have the noodles prepped and just reheat them. Keeping in mind my order was the last to hit the table I was completely dumbfounded as to how it was ice cold and not very fresh. Fish and chips were alright but definitely could use some salt. Looked like it was from a box however waiter says it's fresh battered in house. Best thing we ordered were the fries!!! Crunchy and had a great flavor. No refills on our waters. Food is different from the area. Never had Cajun food but if it is this good I will definitely have it. The restaurant feel is like any strip mall feel but the food is spectacular. Was busy and all they had were large tables left and because I was by my self they were nice enough to split a large table so I wouldn't have to wait for a small booth to open. Very nice of them. Very clean, plenty of tvs with the game on. Service was very friendly and quick. Food was fresh and well cooked. As I looked at what other people ordered it all looked amazing. I got the surf n turf and a shrimp cocktail. The rib eye was very tasty. The lobster while tasting good was a bit overdone and the shrimp cocktail was nice and sweet. My roommate and I have ordered food for pick up from Chason's a couple times. She always orders the pricey crab, which costs about $40. I get the jambalaya without shrimp for $20. The jambalaya has good flavor, and they offer different spice levels. On their scale of very spicy, spicy, medium, or mild, the first time I ordered spicy. It was too spicy, which is my own fault because it says spicy in it. This time I ordered medium. The flavor was good. My roommate's experience was not favorable, as the crab was "mushy "and "too salty to the point where it was not palatable. " I cannot attest to her food, but I can attest to customer service in handling feedback. When we called them to address our complaints, they offered to remake the food if we brought it back to the restaurant (the crab comes in a plastic bag) . One of the people we spoke to had implied that we could get a discount in the future but then said it wouldn't be possible. I would've been happy with an apology, 25% off for the next time, or something to ameliorate the situation, but was not impressed with how we were treated. We ordered the surf and turf to share, and there definitely was plenty to share. The lobster tail was delicious, and the warmed garlic butter took it to the next level. I enjoyed the lobster much more so then I did the steak. I didn't care for the particular cut or flavor, but I was pretty full after I ate my portion of the lobster. The veggies are a nice touch, but they are slightly undercooked and not really seasoned.
