Bubble tea

Tried the new dragon fruit and it was ok. You can never go wrong with some bubble tea. This location does offer the luxury of a self order machine but it was not working when I went. The service was quick.

Waited so long for a Bubble Tea spot to open up in LV! There's Booster Juice and a few Sushi Places but they aren't dedicated Boba Spots. They have all the greats; brown sugar boba, fruit teas and blended taro among others. The location is right in the heart of LV near the indoor/outdoor tunnel complex. The staff were great. My only 2 gripes as to why this isn't 5/5: the peach tea is the main reason I come here and it was continually out, so I stopped trying. Also, numerous times, I see like anywhere from 6-10 staff working (which is great) however when there's only 1-2 people in front of me, for whatever reason there's still a wait for my drink. The college street location, which is incredibly busy at lunch, I rarely have to wait at even with lines out the door.

My friends and I were dining in Liberty Village right next door to the newly opened Chatime. Of course, we had to explore! I had the Honeydew slush and they all opted for the Mango version. Even though it was a cool evening, these drinks were refreshing. The store looks great and everything tastes great! If you like Bubble Tea or if you're looking for something refreshing to drink, drop by for a treat!

I've been to many ChaTime location around GTA and Durham Region. But I love the service here! The staff were very friendly and attentive. I hope they have service like this at other locations too! My favourite drinks are always Brown Sugar Milk Tea series with grass jelly or handcrafted taro! Half sugar and Half ice is the best! Recently they just launched their Teafreshers too! They were very refreshing. Perfect for Spring!!!

Great location! We waited for some great bubble tea in Liberty Village for a very very long time. Super glad that Chatime joined LV! Great location. The line up was a bit long when it first opened but now if you don't go after school/ work hours, you should be able to get your bubble tea pretty fast. I also like how I don't feel like my stroller was in the way when we go in with the stroller. Plenty of space, I think it can even fit 3 strollers side by side easily.

This is a cute little spot in Liberty Village to relax for a bit! The staff were all very kind and helpful. I was so happy to hear they were still giving out their purple pockets with coupons inside for every 2 large drinks purchased. My friends and I stopped by for a pit stop before going for dinner. There were three tables, each with three chairs for dining in. They also had signs with bubble tea puns on the wall which made me laugh. All the drinks we purchased were great! The only thing I wish they had at this location was a bathroom. :)

Review Highlights - Chatime

It had light sugar level and reminded me of the sugar level in a unsweetened Lipton ice tea.

Nutbar - Ultimate Recovery Smoothie

I was really excited to try Nutbar. It looked great from the photos, and the name is so cute- I've…read morebeen using Nutbar as an endearing term to describe silly dogs for quite some time :-P. This place was just a couple of blocks from my hotel, so I stopped by after my morning workout to get an açaí bowl. The service here was friendly, but I wouldn't characterize it as prompt. There were other orders placed after mine that got completed first, which is fine- I understand a smoothie may be more straightforward than a bowl, but...read on to see where I'm going with this. When I got my bowl I was kind of disappointed that their idea of a bowl is actually a cup. Why? Okay, part of the allure of getting an acai bowl is having a bountiful display of fresh fruits, granola and other fixings. By serving it in a tall cup, it meant all the toppings were condensed in a more narrow opening at the top. But then, to take it a step further, I realized none of the toppings on the açaí bowl were fresh fruit. The toppings were shredded coconut, granola, almond butter and cacao nibs. All shelf-stable items that are fine, but kind of a coincidence that none of them are things that would take more time to prep. So essentially I got an açaí smoothie with stuff on top. I had wished I head read through the menu more throughly. When I saw they had açaí bowls, I thought it would include some fresh fruits- that's just been a feature of the hundreds of acai bowls I've consumed in my life, so I just assumed that was the case here. As for the açaí mixture itself, I wasn't over the moon for this either. I was getting too much of a lemon vibe, when I really wanted to have the mellow flavor of the açaí come through. Overall, the store is beautiful, the employees were friendly, but I just wasn't digging my açaí bowl in a cup. At $16.75 CAD seemed like kind of a steep price for a less than average bowl.

The menu consists of health bars, bowls, salads, toasts, wellness shots, coffee, tea, and smoothies. Note that the prices here are a bit higher compared to other smoothie shops. I tried the Ultimate Recovery Smoothie ($16.75) and loved it! Made with orangic blueberries, collagen, cashews, matcha, vegan protein powder, chia seeds, barmilk, dates, and sea salt. The ingredients were blended nicely, and it was flavourful, refreshing and filling, making it a perfect on-the-go snack. The staff was friendly and service was good. The Yorkville location has an airy but warm ambiance, with a good amount of seating. I'm giving 5 stars for the smoothie itself, but overall 4 stars for the experience because the case storing the health bars had a few flies in it, which was a bit off‑putting.
