This place is God awful!!!! I can see why they don't allow reviews on Trip Adviser or booking.com.... To start with the oven was left with pans with an inch of oil sitting in them, the dishes and utensils were all filthy, along with the oven and microwave and one of the lamps had exposed wires at the plug. There is nothing left for you to use the facilities, no dishwasher liquid/tablets, no washing powder for the washing machine, no tissues, no bathmat or any basic cooking supplies like salt and pepper, oil etc. The proprietor seems confused when these are asked for... The towels were disgusting, old and threadbare, and the sheets were obviously incredibly cheap cotton. The cleaner was supposed to come once a week, but we were there 10 days before they came, and that was only because we asked about it as we were running out of toilet paper! Walking into the apartment the roof leaks and the wet plaster is falling down all over the stairs. The range hood does not work, meaning you have to open a window and freeze when you cook, or fill the apartment with smoke. The radiator will just stop working, and you wake up freezing or try to have a shower and find there is no hot water. The gym that is advertised is a cobweb covered treadmill and stationary bike, and the room is freezing as the door is rotten and has a massive hole in it. It's location is OK, about a 10 minute walk from the train station, but if you are wanting to go into London regularly it is at least 6-8 pounds for a return journey plus whatever you spend travelling around. You have to carry your luggage up about 2 flights of stairs, and don't expect help from the proprietor. We moved to the UK and had one large suitcase, one small and two bags each and had to make about 3 trips to get to the apartment. The apartment will vibrate and rattle when the people under/next to you use their washing machine, which will sometimes be late at night. The internet is fast and reliable, but there is not a lot of other positives to be honest. Overall, every cost has been cut, and I'd avoid it at all costs! read more
