New mom of a 3 month old baby here, First visit was for a prenatal, and after the baby was born we have been going to Chattanooga Lactation almost every week. In office meetings with Ashley Lucas and at home visits from Audrey Coles helps the new mom journey tremendously. After 2-3 weeks of working on a wide open latch (because some baby will learn faster than others) Ashley suggested that baby may have a tongue tie problem. After the surgery it has been smooth sailing. No question is ever discouraged or look down upon & both have been very understanding and encouraging to us when baby and i had problems. Basically a new found mom friend with actual knowledge & multiple tools to help baby & new mom with feeding journey. My experience have been wonderful and i hope other new moms will get the help they need from Chattanooga Lactation. read more

ASHLEY IS AMAZING! She is exactly what breastfeeding mamas need and deserve in their nursing journey. My husband and I met with her 3 times, all covered by our insurance, and she is hands down been the best tool we have utilized during our parental leave for our first born. She made us feel empowered when everything we read or heard could make us feel incompetent. She helped us in how to administer medicine to a newborn, without her fussing/fighting, she helped us address her lip tie and understand how to move forward, and she also helped us understand that "scheduling" newborns isnt always as easy as everything you read. She allowed us to take back control of our schedule with a newborn. She's absolutely necessary in my mind, and I will continue to use her for our next child! Thanks Ashley! read more

History

Established in 2014.

My business started from the heart. In 2011 my son was diagnosed with failure to thrive and low milk supply. I had no breastfeeding support available to me and I was doing this all alone. One night, when I was at my lowest with breastfeeding, I vowed that one day I will be that support person that mothers need. No one should have to do this alone. From that moment I worked very hard to work towards being a Lactation Specialist.
