What a gem! We found this place when we were walking to a restaurant nearby. Probably the best Che that i found in Seattle so far! It seriously made me home sick! The price is right! Taro Che for $2. Thai Che for $4, Khuc Bach without fruits for $3 and the cup is huge! I mean 2 person can eat one kind of huge. They also have ô mai, which is difficult to find as well. A cup is $4. I was craving for something sweet to balance out my lunch and after a quick Yelp search ordered the 7 colors dessert. The restaurant is located in the plaza off of MLK and Othello. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurant in the plaza this place is bright and looks clean. The drink was just so-so. This is the first time where I had black beans in my che. With that being said there was not a whole lot of beans in the che like I expected. Most of it were different types of jellies. Che Dessert Lounge is a good alternative to Bambu in the city. Their Che 5 Mau is huge and only $5. My only complaint was that the purple rice they put on top was stale/dried out. Everything else was good. They have a decent selection of desserts. Most of them are "unusual" and unheard of just because they're not offered at your average Vietnamese restaurant or deli. They also have some cakes and baked goods. It's a little out of the way, but it's a great place to check out if you're in the area. read more

My friend and I decided to stop by Che Dessert today for smoothies and I tried the Sunset smoothie and OMG it is so good. It has passion fruit, peach and mango. Really good che! I got the che that's in a coconut. It's called RauCau dua. Really good!!! Mix it up before you eat it or just eat it. and you can share it too it's a lot! The price is relatively cheap as well about 6 bucks. A must try. read more

This is my favorite Vietnamese desert spot in Seattle. My favorite thing to order is che chuoi - it's served cold and has a bunch of little tapioca pearls, the mini banana (it kind of tastes like a plantain it's so freaking tasty) and maybe even chunks of durian? It's a small portion but only $3 which is perfect for me because I usually go here for dessert after a meal. Durian crepes are wonderful you must try them! I like the fact that they're not sickingly sweet. You can tell the chef figured out how to balance all of the flavors without being too sweet. The owner is a super cool and I enjoy chatting with him when I'm in line or waiting for my food. He's funny and all around a great guy. There is SO MUCH STUFF on the menu , I think the best strategy is to just order a bunch of things you've never tried. The gal that always rings me up is super nice and will answer any questions that you have. I think she might be the owner? Maybe? Third.. Their desserts are delicious! Tips: pha lau mi goi! Yea those pork intestines with instant noodle or bread are so goooddd here! I like how they try to keep the taste as it is in vietnam and this is the only restaurant or deli in Seattle i know that has this kind of food. Small place in a Plaza. They have a Big menu board on the wall that had alot of desserts. It was a little overwhelming to look at. They should try to consolidate it a little. I went with the traditional Che 3 mau (3 color dessert). GF had the Che 5 mau which has different extra beans and other stuff. I didnt like the crush ice they used, cause it fused into a big iceblock and made it hard to break thru to get to the good stuff at the bottom. This review is for the milk tea only. I've tried nothing else so I can't speak about anything other than the tea. The boba is quite bad. It is always in a clump and hard to sip in the straw. Not sure if it was prepared wrong or what is wrong. Nice owner and very kind people. I've had numerous occasions with this problem, and a few times the tea was not sweetened, and once the boba was the little pearls. Not what I wanted. Ambrosia across he street has much better boba.
