I would recommend calling up as opposed to using their app as it's a bit hit and miss, to be honest it's really difficult to use and isn't up to the standard of an uber app. In fact don't use the app at the airport as they'll always give you a call back anyway to discuss where to pick you up. It's only £10.50 set fair to the airport from Edgeley and on the way back is much cheaper than getting a black cab (about half price) so make sure you use these guys.

New Moon Taxis have passed my stringent tests and I have used them for over 16 years. They have the right amount of chat, are very respectful and I have never had to wait long for them to turn up. Ok the cars aren't Mercedes and some look like they need a good valet, but New Moon is a cheap and cheerful taxi service and I do not mind the surroundings if I feel safe and get to my destination on time. A handy tip for pet lovers: my friend Jenny came to visit recently and brought her gorgeous new baby pug. New Moon had no hesitation in letting her travel with the dog and were very helpful. Now, I am not suggesting they will be as accommodating if you try to sneak a Great Dane into the cab, and I would check with them first, but New Moon is a great little taxi firm for Mancunians and their pug dogs.

I was glad to find the 147 number Bullocks bus, which took me around VIctoria Park right infront of the University! How it has saved my walks this year will remain very dear to me!
